What's that music called where Christine publicly embarrasses Mrs. Ganush at her workplace when she called SECURITY and Mrs. Ganush is all "You shamed me. I beg you and you shamed me." ?
if u are at the right side of the religion, u will believe there wont be stuff like 'god fighting with demon'. The truth is, god made demon, to seduce human to make sin. And of coz, when the almighty god made demon, that obviously mean god can vanish demon easily when HE wanted to.
Dang it was a epic movie and the part with lamia was just pure epic even though its no where close to the "lamia curse story" but dang man it was one hell of a good movie, 5/6 and ending was epic xD
If they make a sequel, it will be on another's experience with the Lamia. The director(writer?) made a number of Evil Dead's, but they didn't necessarily have happy endings.
the movie is a great horre movie. i sow it in the cinema, and i get scared, i underrested the movie. i also have it on dvd. its one of my brand new movies. i got it on crismas and i have seen it 2 times( 3 times if you take the cinema with) and i will see it again. sow if you need some horre see DRAG ME TO HELL.
geez how old are you people. This movie was not that great. Loved the music though but please; "best", "ever", "all time", not this movie. All I will say is that it was not terrible. The scare tactics are the same overused ones from pretty much every horror film and the story was just ok. If you think this is the best ever, go get netflix and watch more movies please.
There is nothing wrong with that, the point I'm trying to make is that if people think cliche humorous scare tactics make up the GREATEST MOVIE EVER OF ALL TIME, they need to watch more movies.
even so, this movie was far more effective than many of the high grossing horror films that have recently been out. Grudge comes to mind...this movie blows it out of the water. This movie was more effective at being disgustingly creepy than horrifyingly scary, but both are important parts of any successful horror film, and both are present with ample amounts of polish. Raimi's masterpiece for sure.
I thought the curse was only ''on'' when the Lamia had cursed the OWNER of the cursed object. Therefore when the Lamia comes for the owner (Juan; Christine) then THAT part of the curse is over. Therefore I don't reckon Professor Clay Dalton is cursed just because he has the object which was cursed before.
And, in your idea of Lift Me to Heaven, what about poor Juan? What choice does he have?
If Sam Raimi is filming a sequel (this is an idea for a title. Get Me Back To Life.), then it should be about how Christine can find a way to be alive again from Hell while Clay and Rham Jas find a way to save her. If there's a trilogy, the 3rd should be Lift Me To Heaven, how the forces of Hell and Heaven are in a battle for Christine's soul.
Somehow I find these ideas very interesting. But anyway, I got a question. Sylvia cursed the button (knob) of Christine. I thought, Lamia would find the owner of the cursed thing and drag this person to hell then. With the thing that was cursed. But now... Ray has it. Isn't that a little...weird? Does Lamia come back and drag Ray to hell as well, because he has the cursed button now?
Get Me Back To Life should have all negativity and all horror and tragedy and drama with some scenes showing Christine's body in Hell and being tormented.
Lift Me To Heaven should have horror, intense fantasy violence scenes, and drama. The benevolent forces of Heaven will fight the malevolent forces of Hell in a bid for Christine's soul. Ending will be sad: God gives Christine the choice of living on Earth with Clay or die in Heaven peacefully where her soul will be watched by God's power.
A horror scene I was thinking of was the Lamia possessing Mrs. Ganush's dead body and she's become this demonic bitch and Clay and his partner (buff new guy named Don-Jon (should be played by Hugh Jackman or some other buff guy)) fight Mrs. Ganush and her minions alone while finding a way to save Christine with Rham Jas.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Gosh, why did I write Ray? Clay of course, douche-bag. But, Get Me Back to Life is a stupid name, AND I don't want to see her body being tormented and punished, I love her. o.Ô I felt SO sorry for her.. And now that I explained your ideas a little more, I think that they totally suck. Well, I liked the idea of continuing the story, but definitely NOT that way. Kk, thanx, bye.
I think, there should not be another movie. If there would be, it probably would suck, and that would destroy my opinion about Drag me to Hell as well, so, leave it as it is now. Nice film, nice music, lovely. ♥ :)
Drag Me To Hell was one of the best horror movies I've seen in my life and I must say his "return to horror" just makes him the "King of Horror," I call him. He is like destined for horror films. In my opinion the memories of Hellraiser or Evil Dead will be riveted (gone).
If Sam Raimi is filming a sequel to this movie, they should use the same theme except with the choir and all the instruments to intensify the music's volume, the mood and the horror
The only reason why this movie is so overrated derives from the fact that it is accompanied by a brilliant score...Young surpsasses himself once again...Thank you for being so full of inspiration

all she did was say you can't wait longer to pay your mortgage. she even said sorry! The woman who cursed her is such a bitch.
they should make christine somehow escape and do battle with the resurrected gypsy woman or something.

"The scare tactics are the same overused ones from pretty much every horror film..."
thats the POINT
Sam Raimi horror flicks are wacky-cliche horror romps not really intended to scare the audience, but for them to laugh at how silly it is.
EVIL DEAD TRILOGY, anyone?
