  • Danny Boyle honestly has to be the best and kindest director ever. I saw the 'Making of' and wow he is incredible. He lets the crew do their work without even raising his voice. If Michael Bay is the Hitler of directors, Danny Boyle is the Gandhi. Just amazing.

  • It's on HBO go. Just watched it tonight

  • James Franco has a slight accent...

  • @MzChelxoxo was it the part when he says " a kind of levity" made you think that? Cuz thats what I thought as well :P Probably because he was sitting next to Danny.

  • @B10NICBURITO when he first started talking. i kind of like It.

  • What if you don't have the juice?

  • Did the real aron cut is arm off?? :L

  • @Audiotwist Aww poor bloke, I suppose if you think toward your family you just would...

  • @OriginalClownStory no, they just made this re-make real life film because they got board of shouting at people.

  • @OriginalClownStory Um.. yes? Do you not understand the entire storyline? lol wow..

  • @CourtnKae Yes, i do i was only asking fuck sake, why do you have to be so sarcastic wow!

  • best acting no one could of done it better !

  • how did James not win best actor at the Oscars??

  • @miamid17 Colin Firth did a pretty good job as well...

  • Jeez, the more interviews with Franco I see, the guy just keeps coming across as a pompous prick. I mean, I want to like him more than I do--he's a fucking good actor, but he just kinda takes over all discussions. Seems like he takes himself a bit too seriously.

  • new mexico has dangerous canyons?!

  • the part when he saw his entire family on that couch tugged on my heartstrings a bit.

  • How did it not win the Oscar..?

  • which movie is sadder soul surfer or 127 hours

  • its really sad that aron has'nt sleeped for five days! trying to escape in google it shows him escape with his arm! but in other pictures it shows he don't have a arm

  • james franco's voice changed?!

  • i am 9 and i watched this movie 127 hours i thought it was a movie but its based on a true story i just can't beleave it! and aron God bless you

  • Comment removed

  • Danny Boyle, you are a genius.

  • hes got 2 arms.. what the hell is this!!?

  • hmm he got 2 arm

  • @born2war1 yes cos this is james franco, its a film...did you seriously think he'd cut his arm off for a movie?! the real guy whom its based on is aron ralston. google him, he has a mechanical arm.

  • 'I Shouldn't Be Alive' marathon, this Wed night on Animal Planet US

Nov 02, 8:00 pm - Animal Planet US

    (60 minutes)

    I Shouldn't Be Alive

    'Til Death Do Us Part

    TV-PG, CC

An elderly couple on an off-road adventure battle for their lives when their vehicle turns on its side. Without water and with temperatures exceeding 100 degrees the couple wander for 4 days through the dangerous and rugged canyons in New Mexico.

  • im currently reading the book then i intend to watch the film, cant wait.

  • 127 hours is a super great movie, and actor James Franco is unique.

    James Franco is the best.

  • I watched this film 12 or 13 times lol I'm OBSSESED with the story!

  • its a good film but not the sort of film you want to watch again,

  • @TerryMMA85 yeah its not as good the second time

  • danny boyle is the best

  • James Franco is cool with being the sexy one! 66 movies! Amazing!

  • Luigi!

  • James's acting had me fully believing it was actually him that it happened to. He took you inside his head and the mental emotions he was going through. I don't think another actor could have done it so well. Amazing performance!

  • my names oscar you can win me at a carnival will that make u feel good

  • @Zoraiz7866 He almost was one D:

  • how did they put his arm back on?

  • @xdonline69 , they didn't. The real Aron has a mechanical arm now. His real arm was decaying as he was trapped. It lost circulation and "died". It took 13 men and and a Winch to remove his arm from beneath the 800 lb boulder and Aron, himself, had it cremated and he scattered the ashes near the canyon where he had his accident. It's really inspiring, in fact.

  • @EDHtheauthor where did you find that out? I have never heard that until now. I saw the interview with Aron 6 months after the accident when he went back and his arm wasn't there but the boulder still was.

  • JF deserved his Oscar for the role of Aaron Ralston.Watch his face go from defiant to scared to regretting to lost without saying a word. Watch his body once he's trapped down, the tears that form in his eyes…

Yes, Firth did a good job but just re-watched this movie.

No doubt some will bring up his hosting and use that to belittle his acting ability. It won't work. the guy is one of the best actors working today.

  • great interview

  • He deserves 2 oscars!!

  • i dont think the best part of the movie was Aron finally freeing himself from the boulder, but when Aron, completely independent, finally says HELP

  • @ThePremiumGoods I cried at that part :'(

  • did aron made that video puplic, or have anybody else seen it beside him and james and danny.

  • Um dos Melhores filmes que já assisti,Exelente!

  • VERY CUTE AND SEXY LOL ;D

  • @keikumeru I agree with you lol ;D

  • the music at the point when he cut off his arm was awesome loved it. does anyone knw wat tht song is called

  • @TheSirajlyons festival sumthing, search festival 127 hours

  • @TheSirajlyons liberation in a dream.

  • Marvellous film, it had me hiding my face behind a pillow due to the tension, but remember folks: the moral of the story isn't "If you're arm is trapped, cut it off." I would have been happy to died down in that canyon. It's too much emotion pressure and pain to go through.

  • i cried throughout the e n t i r e thing

  • Dude WTF JAMES HAS A ENGLISH ACCENT? at 2:55 CHECK IT OUT? hes american!

  • Awesome MOvie and Awesome Actor!

  • James Franco is adorable on so many levels

  • music was awesome best, really natural when he cut his hand:::::::::::::::::::

  • Damn, Danny sounds really young.

  • Even with missing an arm..James is the sexiest man alive

  • This was such a great movie,i love the message of the movie and the saying at the end of this video:"there is no force on earth more powerful than the will to live". I wuld have also loved to see the real aaron rolstons video clips he made.

  • That's cannot be truth. Franco can not be so damn sexy!

  • Really made me understand how great and precious life is.

  • @OMGogglez Yeah, same thoughts here...

  • Just back from seeing the film - very powerful. Well done and thank you to all involved.

  • Best movie of the year! James Franco put such great emotion into the character. He made every scene a work of art.

  • I love the rapport between Danny Boyle and James Franco...they seem to have this mutual respect for one another...there doesn't seem to be this big ego trip to show whose the "bigger man" looool. it is rather refreshing to watch interviews likes this. I agree with "cinesimonj", the interviewer was also surprisingly good.

  • Why did the social network get the Golden globe? This movie was a lot better in my opinion.

  • James Franco... you are not English... so why doest thou sound like one in this interview? You are from Palo Alto, California, dude. Were you not aware that you were being interviewed as yourself and not a jolly Brit character?

  • @unseencourage

    he was not acting english

  • this movie wasn't a film, it was a work of art.

  • @swimjim4012

The fuck is that supposed to be? All movies are art.

  • @thestranger4812 No, not all movies. Many filmmakers today are too indulged in effects and box office receipts that they fail to make fully-realized films that reach their true potential.

  • @truecinema

All movies are per definition art, just like all music. That doesn't mean it's always good, there is bad art too.

  • @thestranger4812 I suppose you never saw "Vampires Suck". That would probably change your mind :P

  • @thestranger4812 not necessarily. i wouldn't call documentaries works of art. those are more informative than anything. they want to get a message across, rather than tell a story. i'm not saying that movies dont send messages, but u know what i mean. maybe the phrase "work of art" was not the right way to put it, but it definitely was a very appealing movie.

  • @swimjim4012 INK was a work of art

  • Comment removed

  • they should have a best ending award at the golden globes because this movie would fuck1ng own it

  • that 1 person has no soul

  • damn just watched this movie and it was effin awesome! james francos emotions was real tight! good job!

  • I bought this movie today. I love it sooo much.

  • the social network is fucking gay, this movie deserved it

  • Goodness you can really tell just how much danny's accent rubbed off on James during this period, especially when you compare these interviews to other ones. Haha so prominent.

  • I like to lick my own shit!!!

  • I'm not english but I must say Danny Boyle speaks really understandable english. I can follow every word he says and it sounds very smooth and clear.

  • this is by far is James Franco's best performance...no one would've did a better job

  • @CASSiE8O8

    Done*

    sorry lol

  • the movie literaly made me cry at the end not cause it was bad or sad but just because it gave me this type of emotion that made me feel as if i was one of aron's family member and I had watched him get out from first person. Really put a good story of triumph and will

  • read some of the comments. 127 Hours was my second favorite film. Inception being the first, with a VERY VERY close thrid favorite of The King's Speech. I understand why TKS won, but I still hold to Inception being the best film of 2010...BUT, with that said. 127 was a personal favorite. I honestly liked all the nominations this year, I didn't dislike any of them. However, The Fighter was my least favorite.

  • you can tell that James is very dedicated to his craft and he understands it very well.

  • @babybluecebu ya hes a very smart guy this is my 3rd favorite movie

  • I'm in love with this movie.

  • panalo ang moving ito

  • @iav102809 noice! HAHAHA. pinoy :D

  • nothing will compare to francos performance as sal in pineapple express...

  • @Scuba0925 Too true. But he did amazing in this movie too..

  • This movie reminds me of buried

  • @PIVOTIIIIIIIISTUDIOS It reminds me of Open Water and Frozen

  • @loadedjogger open water was pretty bad especialy since everything that happens after they got stranded was a guestimate (i suppose is a good word) of what happened

  • Best film I've seen for a while. And I know what it feels like to not sleep for 5 days personally and be in pain the whole time. I could totally relate to this film. It was translated so well.

  • question is..did Amber jump into the water? if she dint, she is who she is on House M.D.

  • love the movie

  • seems like Boyle cant away from movie titles that include time

  • omg!@ his mustache

  • what's the name of the song that appears at the end??

  • @adam12brody Band Of horses - The Funeral

  • @Dradle The Festival by Sigur Ross

  • @Dradle The Festival by Sigur Ros

  • sigur ros- the festival

  • @hipperripper Calm down, I was talking about the end of the video not the movie.

  • Definitely a great movie. I REALLY loved it.

But my vote still, easily, goes to Inception.

  • I know people are gonna disagree with me on this, but this is honestly the most life-affirming experience I've ever had watching a movie since I first saw the Shawshank Redemption several years ago.

  • This is some talented, smart and intelligent dude. Great film

  • Give the Oscar to James Franco, not just for this incredible performance, it´s for all his carrer,

  • Video tape that Aron Ralston took at that time is the most precious video ever.

  • No matter who wins this year, James Franco is without a doubt the Best Actor for his performance in this movie.

  • @georjab Colin Firth still did an awesome job in "The kings speech", and really deserved the oscar...

But still. James Franco is a talented actor :)

  • Please give James the oscar

  • so the two chicks in the film and scooby doo were fictitious, but I loved the movie, I just disliked a little all the hypstering, like the music and the naked people scenes. I would have liked if they made more mention of the spiritual side of this story. Anyway good movie and Aron Ralston Rocksssssss!!! literally ;)

  • @mikeborja1 the girls were real, he just hiked with them a little, he did not go swimming with them

  • its irritating that firth is most likely to win the oscar, but franco deserves it

  • I loved Francos acting in this film but the stash has to go

  • James, the moustache doesn't suit you at all....

  • @Felidays yeah he looks like a pedo with it

  • GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!!!

  • @jaket011 WHAT DO WE HAVE ON THE BOULDER TODAY!?

  • @MrApplewoodcoyote TODAY, ON THE BOULDER, WE HAVE A VERY SPECIAL GUEST! SELF PROCLAIM BOY WONDER..JUSTIN BEIBER!!!!!

  • @jaket011 I FEEL LIKE CUTTING OF MY ARM IM SO EXCITED!

  • amazing movie! i am totally enthusiastic about it 24h after i've watched it and i am pretty sure this enthusiasm will hold on the next couple of months... maybe years? i don't know, but i am like a big fan of this movie and it's one of my favourites. i am certain of it!

  • 127 Hours is the second best film of 2010 IMO and the second best performance, right behind Black Swan and Portman in Black Swan. I'd love it if Franco won but I think Firth will win this year, who was very good also, but Franco was a revelation

  • I like the interviews with both Danny Boyle and James. They seem to have such a good working relationship now which didn't exist before this movie. Much success to both of them, this movie was magnificent.

  • Impressed with the interviewer - gave the interviewees as much space as needed, and asked really appropriate and interesting questions.

    Great stuff.

  • @cinesimonj

Because its about facebook and facebook means money...

  • this film was amazing :)

  • Have not seen this movie yet but really want to. I LOVE James Franco (minus the mustache). But I just have say I'm one of those people who thought the Social Network was brilliant. Great acting, great script, great soundtrack. I've completely fallen for Jesse Eisenberg!

  • He'll always be Daniel Desario to me!

  • Two magnificent men talking candidly about the film they made about a magnificent man.

This film took my breath away. I hope they all get the plaudits they deserve (including Aaron).

  • "Can't take this off.. it's my face."

  • man i watched the arm amputation scene without the comedy at the beginning and it scarred me for life. This is a movie you got to watch from start to finish.

  • videos about this movie are the only videos with little to no thumbs down

  • @AreYouReadyForThis56 i know, i have noticed that too, and i appreciate that. people who would thumbs down a video about something so inspiring is just wrong.

  • Hell yeah James Franco's from the bay area! Palo alto's kind of close to where i live :D

  • pinapple express

  • I thought this was the best movie of 2010, and seeing the social network, I don't understand why the social network won the golden globe.

  • @3ISAMAGICNUMBR I thought Social network was really good, but not quite "Best picture" worthy.

  • @3ISAMAGICNUMBR It's easy, cause it's about facebook. AKA, society's downfall.

  • @3ISAMAGICNUMBR THANK YOU! Ralston has it all over Zuckerberg. He gave a limb, what did mark give? just a website? There's a drop off.

  • @3ISAMAGICNUMBR You smell...

  • @3ISAMAGICNUMBR what i dont understand is, how can a movie win: Movie of the year, in 2010, when its not released to the general public until 2011...

  • @3ISAMAGICNUMBR Because the Social Network is simply better.

  • @TopazSkillMauler Get off facebook!! The soc. Network was made because the producers knew it would make money, it wasn't art, they got a good director, and told the writers to make shit up so it would be more "exciting."

  • Comment removed

  • @3ISAMAGICNUMBR "Network was made because the producers knew it would make money" What produces makes a movie to not make money?

  • @TopazSkillMauler Matter of opinion and two entirely different movies. Of course Oscars will always choose the boring movies.

  • listen to the way he says "darker" at 5:36. he sounds pretty british for a california born.

  • @ktm5194 There is NO british accent in there. No even a bit.

  • @crimsonvipor thats an opinion, im sure others would agree.

  • @ktm5194 he is doing 'Your Highness'
