Beautiful film and beautiful message. God bless the world's indigenous tribes for fighting for their truths and traditions in the face of so much madness.
This movie is so timely... Let the eye of the Whale and the Voices of the Whale Dreamers guide us to a better time. Thank you, gentle people, for your vision and determination to put this film (with its voice) out to all the people for all our relations.
I bought this movie recently and loved it, I could relate to all of it and felt so much sadness and happiness at the same time. I had an amazing experience earlier this year that led me to find out about this movie. I pulled the Whale Medicine Card from the Medicine Deck by Jamie Sams. A few days later I had a dream about the sea and whales. Soon after this I came across this movie on the internet as well as Lisa Gerrard's beautiful music from Whale Rider. It's truly whale magic.
Oh my goodness I just finished watching this film 2x and I'm enthralled completely for the cause. This is hands down one of the greatest, most moving films I've ever witnessed. I cried when the Mirnin tribes people danced and chanted. It seemed Bunna got his spirit back and when the Australian Aboriginees called for the whales they showed up for the show...Hands down... AWESOME! Great to learn of history and cultures the important part whales play in our human existence. Peace n love!
hey there, the film has finally premiered in sydney australia in sep 2008, in a beautifully re-engineered format and will now make its way across the globe.... the speed at which this occurs is completely dependant on how many people come see the film in its early days.... so tell anyone u know in australia and beyond about it. thank u 4 being part of this magic.
I can't believe how my life has changed. I can't wait for this film.....I also can't wait for photograph smile II..Or anything else he feels like doing..I'm in a cover band with mostly Beatles..And people will say . What's that song you do every night? It's Julian! Isn't he grerat!
the final preview is being shown this Saturday 18th August at the Synergy Centre, 220 Farmers Road, London SE5 at 8pm. Followed by live music and DJs. £5 entry
The Mirning people have communicated with the whales for longer than we can imagine - and they say that if the whales go - we go.
This film actually helps to weave bright rays of hope into the awesome story that it tells, and it leaves me with no doubt that it is major transmission for the evolution of the human heart.
If you get a chance to see it, don't miss one of the most important films ever made!

@reykupa And the Oscar goes to Julian Lennon. And when this whale whisperer, aka Jugs, speaks, Hollywood listens.
