Great video, i seemed to have missed this one earlier.. Agree absolutely.. Chisora virtually dominated Helenius in many of the rounds throughout the fight.. I suspect this video could have reached Vitali because he seems to have taken your advice by electing to fight Chisora instead of Helenius.. And in my opinion that's an applaudable decision because he's fighting the genuine winner as opposed to the genuine loser.. Chisora's almost flawless performance against Helenius was a sight to behold.

Before this I thought Chisora was a bum and Helenius would have destroyed him.. I have no idea how much hurting his hand caused in loss of power why he could not throw any of those KO bombs he has done in the past. Chisora clearly got robbed and deserves at least a rematch. But Helenius is a better fighter than he appeared. He hurt his right hand in the first round and obviously wasn't able to use it later on. Still, very few Finns seem to think Helenius deserved the win. If there was corruption, I'd look in the direction of Helenius' team / promoter...

@larss1 To correct, his hand was hurt in the first round and badly swollen afterwards. First diagnose on sunday didnt find broken bones but it will be better examined by a surgeon today.

Round 1 shows the pattern it would have gone in my opinion. at 2:08 Helenius rocked Chisora badly with that cross. Hadn't he hurt it there, it might have been a KO R1 or R2.

It was the wrong decision. I just didn't think it was THAT bad of a decision. Chisora dictated the range pretty freely and punched more but he didn't land that much on Helenius' head. On the other hand Helenius was more accurate with the punches he threw. That's the thing that, in my mind, evened things.
That being said Chisora had ring control and he threw a lot of good body shots which clearly gave him the advantage in scoring.
Also, as a Helenius fan there's something that bothers me more than the results of this fight; Helenius' inability to do anything. He couldn't move, he couldn't hold Chisora, he couldn't dictate range with his jab. He was weaponless even if he had only one hand.
I'm just thoroughly disappointed that our hope of achieving boxing greatness seems to have come up short. He'll have to improve a lot to convince anyone.

I'm from Finland and I was watching the match with some friends of mine, and we were SHOCKED already when we heard that it was a split decision... When the last round ended we were all talking about how Robert got abused by Chisora, and the match is lost. I'm kinda embarassed, of course it's not Robert's fault but cmon now, Chisora won clearly.

I watched the fight in Denmark, the commentator here said the same as you. Before the fight he said the Polish judge was a good 1. In the last round, he was talking about how Helenius could recover from a loss like this etc. But when the round ended and the Helenius camp raised their hands, he was shocked. He looked at the 3 refs and said, now I remember the Spanish judge, (Manuel Oliver Palomo) he robbed Dennis Lebedev against Marco Huck, this will be another Sauerland robbery.

Helenius had a AC-tear (acromioclavicular) in his right hand shoulder. He got that injury acouple of weeks before the mach. He will most probably be away from boxing several months.
Chisora was better, that's the 100% fact. Robert broke his right hand in a first period so he had to fight almost with only left hand, that's why he wasn't himself at all. But after all RESPECT to Chisora, he was better. Let's hope we will see the re-match. Both boxer are losers after that kind of fiasco.

Before this I thought Chisora was a bum and Helenius would have destroyed him.. I have no idea how much hurting his hand caused in loss of power why he could not throw any of those KO bombs he has done in the past. Regardless does not make up for Helenius poor body condition, lack of boxing skill - he is very limited. Chisora showed great aggression, always attacking, great head movement, great punching angles. Chisora won that and I am the least person to like Chisora - I WAS a fan of Helenius

To further underline how disgraceful this decision was, go check out the actual compubox numbers on the scene. There was not ONE SINGLE ROUND where Helenius out-landed Chisora. This was a fight you could legitimately score 120-108 for Chisora. 120-108 is far far nearer the truth than even 115-113 for Chisora.

Porvoo boxer Robert Helenius visited today, a hand surgeon to establish the diagnosis of the injured right hand. According to the doctor, it is a sprain and a fracture that occurred when one of the bones in the hand moved out of joint. The rehabilitation of the hand will most likely take about two months. If everything goes as predicted, there should be no reason for surgery or danger to the future career.

Chisora clearly got robbed and deserves at least a rematch. But Helenius is a better fighter than he appeared. He hurt his right hand in the first round and obviously wasn't able to use it later on. Still, very few Finns seem to think Helenius deserved the win. If there was corruption, I'd look in the direction of Helenius' team / promoter...

Chisora deserved to win, there's no doubt about that.
Chisora's behaviour was so embarrasing that I wanted Helenius to beat his ass.
But unfortunately Helenius broke his right arm in the 1st period. That's maybe why Chisora got so close and started dominating the match. A lot of respect for Chisora. He fought really well. I agree, the verdict was a joke.
It's not Helenius' fault that he won. He said that he is ready for a re-match when his arm is okay. I'm looking forward to it.

@larss1 To correct, his hand was hurt in the first round and badly swollen afterwards. First diagnose on sunday didnt find broken bones but it will be better examined by a surgeon today.

It was a joke. I'm finnish and i was there and of course Chisora should have won that night.
It only started to make sense when Helenius reported he had broken/hurt his right hand in the first rounds.
He fought the rest of it one-handed. Chisora could easily get near and even when Helenius got him to the ropes, he wouldnt throw power shots. Can't wait to see a rematch when his hand is fine.

It was the wrong decision. I just didn't think it was THAT bad of a decision. Chisora dictated the range pretty freely and punched more but he didn't land that much on Helenius' head. On the other hand Helenius was more accurate with the punches he threw. That's the thing that, in my mind, evened things.
That being said Chisora had ring control and he threw a lot of good body shots which clearly gave him the advantage in scoring.

Also, as a Helenius fan there's something that bothers me more than the results of this fight; Helenius' inability to do anything. He couldn't move, he couldn't hold Chisora, he couldn't dictate range with his jab. He was weaponless even if he had only one hand.

I'm from Finland and I was watching the match with some friends of mine, and we were SHOCKED already when we heard that it was a split decision... When the last round ended we were all talking about how Robert got abused by Chisora, and the match is lost. I'm kinda embarassed, of course it's not Robert's fault but cmon now, Chisora won clearly.

i only saw the last two rounds, they were fairly close but it looked like chisora landed the body shots and kept coming forward, straight rights were landing also, helenius looked like he did land a few counters, but i am not surprised by the robbery and the horrible reffing, like germany and canada..

K i was there live and i can say chisora hited 95% to gloves when robert hited mush less but they hited him in the head and Robert helenius broke his hand in round 1 go watch round 1 he dominated chisora in it he could not throw the deadyl right hand whit it.Righ man won u need to do more than just some punches to body whit him protecting to get the champion chip of him when he is fighting whit 1 hand..

I watched the fight in Denmark, the commentator here said the same as you. Before the fight he said the Polish judge was a good 1. In the last round, he was talking about how Helenius could recover from a loss like this etc. But when the round ended and the Helenius camp raised their hands, he was shocked. He looked at the 3 refs and said, now I remember the Spanish judge, (Manuel Oliver Palomo) he robbed Dennis Lebedev against Marco Huck, this will be another Sauerland robbery.

Even the father of Helenius said after the fight "You can not win a boxer like Chisora with one hand. You need to have two hands in shape". (Yhdellä kädellä ei voi tuollaista vastustajaa voittaa. Kyllä siinä pitää olla molemmat kädet kunnossa, Karl totesi). He also confirmed that Helenius broke his Sholder in training already six weeks ago. So we know Chisora won.

Helenius had a AC-tear (acromioclavicular) in his right hand shoulder. He got that injury acouple of weeks before the mach. He will most probably be away from boxing several months.

Chisora was better, that's the 100% fact. Robert broke his right hand in a first period so he had to fight almost with only left hand, that's why he wasn't himself at all. But after all RESPECT to Chisora, he was better. Let's hope we will see the re-match. Both boxer are losers after that kind of fiasco.

@vdentjr I totally respect the judges decisions and never complain about it. You can weep here for weeks and it will not help Chisora to be the winner. Perhaps next time Chisora can beat an opponent boxing with one hand. In a rematch Helenius will wipe the canves with Chisora

Amin Asikainen said that this italian referee stole his victory in second Arthur Abraham mach. When Abraham fell down the referee took him up. When Abraham hit Asikainen in the neck and went on his knees he didn´t even count. Abraham was a Sauerland fighter. The magaroni referee is a Sauerland referee. We knew what to expect from him.

Did anyone else notice near the later rounds, Helenius would say something to the referee when Chisora got near him, and the referee would instantly step in and seperate them? Every time Helenius would say something to the ref and the ref would just step in. And not a littel seperation, he'd push chisora miles back! wtf!
