  • how long will this take? please answer fast

  • @TheImmortal54321 You should be done within 45 minutes. Thanks for stopping by!

  • @pastryparrot1 thanks a lot

  • i want to make this!

  • @evilclosetmonkey1122 I hope you do and it shines for you! Thank you for stopping by!

  • Nice recipe. I don't like chunky tomatoes in marinara sauces or pasta, so I blend my can of tomatoes. Otherwise I do my recipe exactly like yours and the flavor is great.

  • @jpgreel Awesome! Thank you for stopping by! Have a great week!

  • pause at 0:06 secs

  • @ejfresh22nc Haha! Scary, huh? Thank you for stopping by!

  • @FriszOne This is not bitter or black. Thank you for watching.

  • @pastryparrot1 Take criticism and you may become a better chef.

  • @FriszOne OK thank you, Have a great weekend.

  • @FriszOne Wow, there's no need for you to be so incredibly rude. I don't see you uploading cooking videos, so perhaps your jealousy has caused you to be bitter. She thanked you for watching her channel, and said it wasn't bitter (since she would know, being the one who ate it, and not you.) Unclench, seriously, it's not that serious. Just because you're miserable doesn't mean everyone else is. If you were such a "great chef" yourself, you'd have videos on here, but you don't. Fall back.

  • @FriszOne although I agree..you couldve said it in a nicer way and without the insult very childish of you

  • @FriszOne My criticism to you: stop being a know-it-all asshole to other people on their videos. Learn how to criticise constructively. Hope you have enjoyed all these negative comments from others.

  • @FriszOne you are an absolute arse, if you wanted to make constructive criticism then how about trying not to be such a rude douchebag and it might go down better. great video anyway, thank you!

  • @FriszOne "Not everyone can be a great chef!"

Get real. She's done a great job. That's not constructive criticism. That's an outright diss. I should know the difference, since I live on constructive criticism.

  • can this be put on pizza? or is it not thick enough for pizza? thanks.

  • @iroc31407 I think it might be too runny for pizza. Check out my pizza sauce video. You might like it. Thank you so much for coming by!

  • @johnleehancong Will do! Thank you for the heads up!

  • huh wow, adding the fresh basil before the tomatoes like that? Never actually thought of that...is doing that better than just throwing it in at the very end? Everyone always tells me that any fresh herbs I should throw in at the end but I never researched why.

Thanks for the idea and any information you can give! I will try this method :D

  • @Radjehuty I always add fresh herbs like this and always end up with wonderful results. That is not to say that adding the basil at the end is not also a great idea. I will do that sometimes as well. This recipe will render you a delicious sauce. I promise! Have a great week!

  • @pastryparrot1 awesome, thanks!! I'll try this method today!

  • @Radjehuty I hope it comes out great! Thank you for trying it out!

  • Did it taste like the marinara sauce from subway 8-)

  • @pastryparrot1 hey i just have a question.... should i quit the process of ading the water on the tomatoe can if im ussing it for cheese sticks? thanx! love ur vids <3

  • @PINGAS30 Thank you! Yes, go ahead and skip the water so your sauce is thicker. Hope it comes out fantastic!

  • @ValkyrieCain123 Awesome! I hope it comes out perfect for you! Thank you very much for coming by and giving this a try! Take care!

  • Whats the difference between a Marinara and a Tomato Sauce?

  • @shacks29 Tomato sauce is usually referred to pure and simple tomatoes. Marinara sauce entails a combination of olive oil, garlic, basil and tomato sauce amongst other things. Thanks for coming by!

  • @pastryparrot1

Thanx but that means I never made a Tomato Sauce in my whole life, but a lot of Marinara sauce ;)

  • @pastryparrot1 true. Plus, Marinarra Sauce is just a variation of sauce that you can make out of Tomato Sauce, kinda like a Bechamel to an Alfredo

  • @shacks29 Originally, Marinara was tomato sauce with anchovies. Today, Tomato sauce is just oil, tomato puree and basil. Marinara is a Tomato based sauce with oil, garlic, onions, salt and pepper and really could be a variety of things. I personally add white wine, carrots and bay leaves.

  • I'm a new subscriber!!! Yum!

  • @heavenboundlj Yay! Thank you!

  • Thanks for making this quick and easy...I love the rustic chunky style...It makes it look more authentic & mouth watering...Thanks for posting...

  • @ValyTraveler I am so happy you like this! Thank you very much for coming by. Have a great weekend!

  • Thanks, this is really great! So easy and delicious!! It worked out well as a basic sauce for our spaghetti.

Is it crazy to think of trying this with fresh tomatoes, not canned? Or doest that really make much of a difference, in your opinion?

  • @rebeccarosewriter Absolutely! Used fresh tomatoes if you prefer. I have many recipes of this sort with fresh tomatoes. This particular day canned is what we had. Thank you very much for coming by!

  • YUKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

  • Oregano??? Should be Basil in Sauce.

  • this looks like a recipe for salsa

  • Isn't the whole idea of marinara sause to have seafood?. What would be the difference between marinara and napolitana?

  • @jtso6123 It would seem that way because of the 'marine' in it. However, I make it like this. Napolitana sauce includes carrots and celery. Thanks for coming by!

  • u look/sound like janice from sopranos

  • @lenosferatu Aida Turturro, huh? Why, thanks! Have a great week!

  • no wine?

  • @Natedawg422 No wine. Thanks for coming by!

  • ever since 20 minutes ago, i'm addicted to marinara. i need more to get my fix!!!

  • @ishouldplayzelda Thanks so much for coming by!

  • @dragonboy666666 Thanks!

  • awesome

  • @ori0727usa Thanks! I appreciate the comment!

  • I just made this but i put the basil in neared the end, however, if it was dried i'd put it in at the start.

  • @16vaginamite01 Great! Thanks for letting us know! Have a great day!

  • Maria you are awesome...im making this Tuesday night! thanx!

  • @skyline1259512595 Awesome! I am so happy this worked for you! Have a great weekend!

  • looks yummy. well done! i would add more EVOO, and lose the oregano for fresh basil only...but good:)

  • @mrjaxthecat Thanks for coming by! I appreciate it!

  • very helpful thank you!

  • @27bluebaby You are welcome! I am glad it helps!

  • why fry the fresh basil???? as you put fresh oregano later????? learn to cook lady :p

  • @thephantomsguest Oh, ok, maybe you can teach me. The 'later' is actually fresh basil. At any rate, thank you for coming by.

  • Good video but isnt olive oil suppose to go in as well?

  • @Sadness1335 If you would like to add more olive oil in it go ahead! What ever makes you happy. I make it like this and find it does not need any extra oil. Thank you very much for coming by!

  • Good video, but there is no point in adding basil early in any recipe. The flavour is complealy killed by long cooking. Added when fine chopped just as the heat is turnned off to finish is the best way to get the flavour from the herb.

  • @freezefrog Thanks for coming by and watching.

    I appreciate it!

  • When re-heating pasta try adding a little water and salt (to taste) before heating. The frig tends to mellow out flavors and dehydrate foods.

  • Thanks do much for that great tip! I appreciate you coming by!

  • Really good vid. This is pretty much how I make quick marinara, only I add fresh basil (if I use it) at the end. If using dried basil and/or "italian seasoning" it can go in any time. I also ad a bit of balsamic vinegar because I dig it... and sometimes sausage/burger/leftover pork ribs/whatever for additional flavor. But your basic recipe is way cool. You can make it about as quickly as opening a can of sugary prego. BLEAH! :D

  • The balsamic sounds great! I will have to try it out. Thanks!

  • Looks yummy. :) How long can I store this in the fridge?

  • Thanks for watching! I would not keep it for more than 2 or 3 days. Have a wonderful day!

  • cover with seran wrap tightly. when you reheat stir first then replace sauce in a pot on the stove on low heat stir occasionaly so it wont burn or loose flavor.

or reheat on high power stop the microwave 3 times to stir

  • Thanks so much :)

  • looks delicious, do you need to add any sugar to get rid of some of the acidity?

  • You can if you want to. I don't and it turns out great. If you do add sugar make sure it is only a little bit. Thanks for watching!

  • This should taste good! Can't wait to try it!

  • Thanks! I think you will like it!

  • Nice job!

  • Thanks!

  • Nice job! Thanks for sharing!

  • Hey Jimbo! Thanks for watching!

  • im gonna make this for a pizza sauce LOL! thanks chef!

  • That sounds like a great idea!

  • Excellent! I love basic recipes that teach you what's needed in a certain dish -- then you can be creative and add your own veggies and meat and stuff =]

  • Yes! I am so happy you like this! Have a great week end!

  • Awesome! I can't wait to try it!

  • Thanks! I think you will like it! Have a wonderful week end.

  • OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO that looks good. Very simple and quick, like the sauce I made. I don't like tomato paste, though. It's too sweet for my tastes.
