I am trying to get back into my creative mode too - I realized at some point that I hadn't written any poetry or done any painting in a couple of years, and then I realized that it was connected to my depression. Making myself try at it now has actually made me feel better :)

in some school IB is a la carte, like AP course. in my school however all my classes are IB and all of them are mandatory. i only take traditional courses for electives, something i gave up freshman year

wow, i didnt realize that so many people were in IB. I'm a senior and my final exams are the entire month of may. Dont worry about orals, you'll be fine. I was really nervous about mine but they are just internal assesments and in the long run wont dictate too much of your grade. The only way to survive IB is to just keep working at it and knowing one day, this will all be over. and after that day, you are allowed to sleep.

Creativity is such a funny thing. It is so easy to forget how creative each of us is. It takes time and effort to be creative, and so much creativity is pushed away by the non-creative projects we have to do for school or work and whatnot. Embracing one's own creativity is an awesome new year's resolution!

As for the creativity, draw three lines on a piece of something. Then look at those three lines in a number of different places around your house, school, or general environment. Now use those three lines to make something other than a drawing. Develop them into a picture used for a story, song, or clothing design.
