@ bafunity,I am a Fool, but you are a JACK Ass, if you believe what you typed. Freedom of expression is missing from all the countries you noted. They also lack HUMAN RIGHTS and the reason so many people get thrown in jail in CUBA and Venezuela, They are repressive regimes and the rulers have all the power. GOD BLESS AMERICAN, not always right the first time, but trying to get it right in the long run. Today in Cuba the LIMA Brothers of Hoguin are sitting in jail cause of music they played .
You are a fool if you think that you have more than Venezuela and Cuba. These two countries as well as Bolivia , Ecuador, and Argentina ha have stood up to the US. They actually have more freedoms than you do.
Danny Glover is a socialist tool,"TONTO UTIL". He supports the "Cuban 5", convicted spies, he is also buddy's with Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez. Thank God , we as Americans value and respect our liberties something both Cuba and Venezuela lack.
May i also say i live on ssd and i went to india and the few dollars people gave me to take helped so many and Danny knows what hes talking about.Dont give up Danny and let me know when you have another rally in the area of MD thats where i live.
I hope Danny reads this comment.I love his movies and many of his words and he is one of the very few that your able to see his heart in his words even on the screen acting.A real man can never hide his true heart.Bless you Danny.Call any time haroldwillettministries.
Why in the hell did Glover endorse Obama if he is standing there standing up for working man? Obama is for bankers and against workers union n non union workers alike!
Anyone remember the prostate cancer awareness Danny did? I can't find a trace on the net and it's hard to find a video that'll let me leave a comment.
I work for Sodexo (5 years) and I don't get this at all. Every full time worker where I work earns paid vacation and sick time, and has access to a 401k and insurance benefits. (My insurance costs me $17/wk, half what my old BC/BS plan used to cost and is MUCH better.) Employees get a free meal every day whether they work or not, student workers receive book reimbursement, etc. Compare Sodexo to any other service employer and they're generally the best across the board.
A dish washer, cashier or other generally unskilled / entry level worker will probably not ever earn a significant income- It's unrealistic to expect ANY company that's in business to make money to pay people more than their labor is economically worth. If I can hire someone off the street and train them in a day to do the job of someone who's been doing it for 10 years, explain to me the motivation to pay a high wage to what is still ultimately a relatively unskilled position?
The bottom line is the unions are there to make money PERIOD, that is their main motive, no different than the company. Next time you are around the union ask how much the president makes per year, then ask the shop steward what they get in return, what favors.
over one third of a million companies worldwide. I have plenty of facts but I am not going to have a debate over youtube comments. I'm not sure what the union's motive, but believe me I took that into consideration. I am a Sodexo employee myself and they gave an anti union presentation that was full of lies that anyone with a brain could see through whether you knew about the union or not. that right there shows they have something to hide or lose.
@C0NTR4l34ND There is no way they gave an anti-union anything because that is a direct violation of NLRB rules.
I watched SWU get increases for their workers that were behind the passed minimum wage laws in Illinois and then take dues from employees checks. The employees got NOTHING and paid dues for 5-years. During that time the union stopped not one (albeit deserved) written warning or termination.
Such an action versus such a large company is a feat in itself. There's no way you can go after every company at once. Why would you NOT start with a specific one?
@C0NTR4l34ND How large is Sodexo? Is this your perception or do you have facts? Is being large wrong? What is the unions motive? Do you believe unions are there to help people or make money? How much money does the union make in return for the services they provide?
If you don't know, then why do you post on here? What is your motive?
2%, that's interesting because unions don't work in percentages that would be too equitable. They take (and I mean take) their dues right from the employee's checks. They make nothing out of nothing and prey on weak minded people to get in and reap their dues. All in environments that protect the employees already. Heck, the federal laws do a better job of protecting employees than unions.
why not only target sodexo why not wal-mart or other billion dollar compaines who pay low wages people can't survive on. Don't just pick on one company.
@twentyonemiles both!!! All of these people bitch about low wages or cant survive, imagine where they would be with out wal-mart, k-mart, home-depots, and so on!! Most of these workers collect GOVERNMENT benifets that American tax payer gets fucked because of these benifets.... No corporations--no jobs
I used to work for sodexo they didn't keep me "I worked too hard" . they didn't like my pocket full of tips I earned and didn't share lol

@twentyonemiles also.. union gets 2%, which i think is easily made up if wages are increased, which is what they are fighting for at my location.
