well, the power of punk to shock is still alive judging by the hissy fits this classic track seems to be causing in the middle-aged posters here like me. Personally, I think the Skids should have been far more successful and this track proves it.
Lucky you goin Uni good luck to you most of my piers that left school in west coast of Scotland 77-84 were in massive unemployment and pits and factorys shut..Lucky you man , lucky you and if thats so offensive a daft throw-away comment from someone below then , i doubt youd have survived growing up in Scotland grow up man..Good for you patrionising round of applause.
youtube might want to shut this thread down as the most recent post is offensive and really strange. btw, i graduated top of class 20 years ago and my future (my present) is pretty amazing and watch 'blazzing saddles' you moron
Saw the Skids in the Cardiff top Rank 1979-80, there was a metal fence between the band and the fans. Stuart played the starting rift and asked me if I knew this one, I said Charles and he turned the mic in my direction and let me sing with Richard - unbelievable but absolutely true
@mongo88now88 Fuck your university and your sad future. Falkirk F.C hooligans loveTthe Skids, hate patronising student fucks. You are not welcome, so fuck off.
What's with the 'mongo' btw? (before you fuck off).
@madscally1 Wot about the words too? my favourite Skids track and a pity it was buried away on Scared to Dance and not released on 7 inch so more people could aprreciate
@palermothegoalgod Thanx for putting me right on that. Didn't know it was a single. All I can say is the record buying public at the time never had much taste as it never got anywhere if I never heard it other than on the album
magnificent ! stu's guitar is superb, particularly the feed back , which is my ringtone btw. genius !!
