  • Can someone tell me what I could get on a m11 for ultra settings? Don't have time to read or play anything else

  • Will it run world of Warcraft?

  • Now that's what I call a review! Fantastic job.

  • Hey there mate =) - Nice review :) - I think its a really good laptop considering the 1gb dedicated graphics, and as you say can play quite a few really good games on nice detail with a good battery life, What I was gonna say though, is for a game like Half life 2, what kind of FPS average would you be getting? - would you hit around 60 on max with the M11xR3? (GT540m 1Gb ddr3) =)

    Thanks :)

  • Aaaah! Real life review! Carefully edited, crafted, something seriously done outside the usual dorming room. Thanks for the work.

  • best review ever

  • Thank god a British person reviewing a laptop, can't bare to listen to Americans struggling to speak, and words such as 'sick' x

  • I'm getting one of these, for starting sixform and everything, for £500, and I'm rather happy to see it's perfect for me :D thanks for the video!

  • Anyone know the render times for the lap top

  • @zDarkOmegaz what do you mean ? as in how long does a video take to render?

  • @zaccubus yea like on average how long would it take to render a 3 minute clips in SonyVegas with a good quality output

  • @zDarkOmegaz hard to say really depends on how much editing u do / plus the rig setup for this video think it was about 30mins to 45 mins to render for 720p video

  • @zaccubus thanks for trying anyway :)

  • phat cat!! great video review :-)

  • KITTEH!!

  • Good vid! I'm ordering one this weekend. Do you think it's necessary to get a 4gb ram as far as using the laptop for gaming or will 2gb get the job done? I will be mainly using it for light/casual gaming, watching 1080p hd movies, browsing and taking notes.

  • @mcwuppy69 i don't thing it will help much in terms of fps in games but in application terms i think i might help read joebombable comments you might find it helpful

  • @mcwuppy69 Getting as much ram as possible is a good move

  • im getting mine for christmas i saw my dad ordering it :P

  • @KoplatycGamesReviews Ahh Nice there sick

  • @KoplatycGamesReviews Naughty naughty...

  • @KoplatycGamesReviews i will laugh my butt off if its for your dad :L

  • @xDeltaGamingx, Nah my dad doesn't use the laptops alot.. Its farely obvious im getting mine. I cant be bothered to explain about everything i saw :]

  • @KoplatycGamesReviews im pretty sure my mom is getting me one :I

  • also the mouse wheel was awful, mine broke on the charger so it wouldnt recharge :( at least the build on it is better then other sidewiders x3 x5 i find them dire as well, found the whole range quite disapointing

  • This is hands down the best review of the m11x. @Negative39 the simplest cheapest form of optimizing my m11x is ready boost. I use a 4gb SD card dedicated to ready boost. @ddnewman suggestions for future m11x videos; whats the best mouse for this? What's the best bag? What's the best cooler? I got the sidewider x8, U2 Pal and some normal 15" laptop bag.

  • @joebombable i see what i can do m8, as for the x8 sidewider i have used it before 2 problems i didnt like with it was the shape didnt feel right to me i couldnt grib the mouse the way i wanted to 2 & Hard to pick it up while playing i found, The wireless and wiremode still give off sight lag its very noticeable in some games like quakelive the sight delay was euff to make me rage most noticeable tracking on hitscan weapons like the lighting gun, razer mamba 2 had the same feeling of delay

  • @negative39 Benefits; application demand - running a lot of applications or using applications that demand a lot of memory will run faster, also its a gaming netbook and newer high end games will efficiently use more memory will load faster, read and write burst times increase for standard HD(Much less then spending $499+ on a SSD harddrive. This gaming netbook is not that powerful, low voltage duo core 2.2ghz at best needs a little head room vs the i7 mobile quad $1500+ laptops.

  • @joebombable Great, thanks, although it probably sounded like I was being condecending I was actually interested as if there is a real benefit i'll do it too. Thanks again for the info'

  • First great review in ages, I'm so sick of lightshow reviews of this laptop. I bought an m11x R2; It was either that or Asus G53 - but that took forever to come out and I was still strap for cash. I can't believe I forgot to add the bluetooth, now I have to take the whole thing apart if I ever want to add it. #%#&#

  • @joebombable ah crap thats unlucky m8 :( can't u just send it back for an upgrade? or the cost vavle not worth it

  • @zaccubus I kinda like to tinker inside pc and laptops. I already upgraded the HD to the Momentus xt, intend to upgrade to 8gbs DDR (which was only $90 as opposed to Alienwares $300 price) The Bluetooth however is right under your left palm and cost 20 dollars on E-bay from Hong Kong.(was $20 with Alienware) Also got an vinyl skin off amazon.com, would highly recommend it.

  • @joebombable Curious as to what benefit you will get from 8GB of ram in this machine? The diminishing returns make this seems like a waste of money even at $90.... I know its your laptop to go nuts with and do whatever you please - just wondering if there is a specific benefit you expect to get from doing this?

  • @LumpyCarrottop dunno just some noob on a train i met :P picks overpowered sagat what can you do

  • good review m8

  • @freaker126 ta m8

  • mmmmum zaccubus u need to OC ur processor. and updates for for 335m nvidia card too

  • @wintez yea been tempted to overclock but its not mine borrowing it off da boss :P tho im sure he wouldnt mind it working faster :D

  • @zaccubus Should be no reason not to OC it. The OC is fully supported by warrenty as it is a feature of the machine.

  • @negative39 on it chief

  • Alienware is good, i have one. But you can save ALOT of money and have an even better computer if you got a custom built computer.

  • yea but getting custom gaming laptops at 600 would be difficult

  • 6:20 Big Boob

  • @Darugon20 rofl good eye Garpy loves his nuts magizne

  • Aww i love your cat ill buy him for more than the laptop ye?

  • @Janievalo sure but i doubt u be able to lift her

  • some games actually run better by about 10fps avg on the core2 model maybe SC2 is one of them.

  • @negative39 battery life might last longer as well that quite good as well for 619 quid

  • Good job
