Gigabyte G1 Sniper 2 all the way, even though I have and Asus Z68 motherboard myself if you are going to spend >350$ on a MoBo than you are better off with the Gigabyte one it has onboard Creative audio, headphone amp and comes with a separate PCI-E Bluetooth/Wi-Fi module. The Rampage IV Extreme is still a great motherboard but it's geared more towards the Benchmarking community rather than gamers.

The overlay is present at anytime it is independent of the OS ( you can see it even when the board is powered off as long as there is standby power. You can intialize it on the fly whether at post, boot, or in windows/in an app or in a game.
