Now if I was running a chain store such as McDonalds or Burger King the biggest competition is not other fast food chains but local independent businesses. Sick. I learned great lessons as a kid selling lemonade and delivering papers. WTF happened to my country. I can tell you as a county employee how heavy handed and wasteful our local governments are.I'm a public employee forced to be in a union and I am in the Tea Party because I see the insanity of our government. @Redlegarty actually these laws are usually made through basic lobbing efforts from big business. First think about who this benefits, not the government because this kills small local businesses. Now if I was running a chain store such as McDonalds or Burger King the biggest competition is not other fast food chains but local independent businesses. Shutting down cheap, flexible, mobile food stands through these laws is a cheap way to muscle out politically weak competition.

Also the American Manufacturing base, along with every other country leading up to ww2 and beyond, used massive tariffs to force Americans to support internal industries until they were competitive. @Findyourownway1 I'm sorry but are you saying that large scale companies are bad? Because in certain types of industry. They have to be inorder to operate. Take a shipyard for example. It takes tons and tons of steel and heavy equipment as well as thousands of employees inorder to fabricate a tanker or container ship.

Although government, courts and law enforcement DO fuck up, it’s usually us that ether voted for it or protested for it to start with. Which is why I don’t vote for or support causes without 1st giving good thought and research into how this could “bit us in the ass later”. I think if more people did that and spent more time reading the fine print we wouldn’ havet retarded issues like this… and I ranting again so I’ll end here. Take care man.

2. The city was concerned about food poisoning. This has happened at lemonade stands before. Look up “norovirus outbreak lemonade”. The CDC even has warnings about it. It’s not well known by the general public because it’s not an epidemic but it does happen. The other cases of norovirus outbreaks from lemonade stands happened with no intent to poison anyone but it still happened.

Lemonade stands are illegal in America because the stands kids peddle their contraband from are an unregulated industry.
Unless kids want to spend some time in Juvenile Detention, they should know that making money without taxation is a criminal act against the IRS and therefore MONEY LAUNDERING; a serious felony in all fifty states.
