  • Ahhhh, look at all that dead grass :/

  • GO CONTRAS!!! GO TUBAS!!!!

  • are they play on 08 drums i can tell by the way they rim shot it

  • That was pretty cool when they breathed into there instruments and but them down.

  • ohhhhhhh someone was off step

  • LOVE this drumline grew up in concord unfortunately moved to vegas, but i am finally coming back to audition for the BD line, unfortunately i know i will not be making it, well in my opinion i wont be, im just excited to learn from the gods of drumming.

  • im assuming you go to harlingen?

  • holy cow at 1:33 you can hear the horns airing their parts @_@!!!

  • Meh....we aired parts in the corps in 84....nothing new. Hardest part was a complete run of the show at "full soft," meaning the overall volume was dialed down so our normal FFF (say, the end of La Fiesta) was a MF...yet we had to maintain the same intensity. A great exercise in control....if you can make it exciting at full soft, full out tends to be awesome.

Bop run thrus were a pain in the butt as well...especially at Mars!

I can read the DM fine, by the way.

  • I didn't say I didn't understand it.

  • That DM is hard to read.

  • You just don't understand his pattern.. It's as clear as day to me.

  • are you serious @ 1:09 he goes from 3/4 to 4/4

  • Your over thinking it, its 3/4 half stepping which isnt hard and marching continues in 4/4 which makes it easy, the only complicated part might be for percussion but they are in triplets which goes well and goes back to 16 32's W/E the fuck they are playing lol plus he starts it off in counts of 4 but makes it 3/4

  • and funny because you can hear a girl say is it in 7? LOL not at all just different timings for different things and visual and im pretty sure the playing goes well with the marching and timing at 3/4

  • Yup I agree... and at the end where they all crouch down for the last note "push" the last trumpet player on the left hand side forgot to crouch!... but they won thats what's important

  • Yep....after the video cut, he probably dropped for some pushups...BD's always kind of self-disciplined (the staff never had to say a word....the vets let us rookies know what was expected of us)

  • Just slightly critical....it's almost sarcastic
