umm mustang gt is more like 26k+. selling like hotcakes? no i dont think so. i like mustangs i almost bought a new one in 06 but after driving the z i ended up getting that. i liked it better. the mustang did have some nice tq but fely like a boat and didnt handle well at all. the z is a much tighter better performing car. the stang u can feel the tq but once it gets going the z felt faster

No bruh I have both. I have about 70k worth of car out back right now. And yes the Z better, in almost every comparison test from Edmunds to car and driver, they said the Z was better. They are similarly fast, but the Z will EAT a GT on the track. And there's nothing wrong with the GT but don't come in here knocking somone elses car because it beat a car that you like. Also, like I said before keep that GT up. It may be one of the last models released by Ford. May be worth something one day.

The numbers are not "kinda" fishy, they are backed up and verified by the member with timeslips or videos, otherwise, you are not allowed to be on the list. By the way, the best a 2003 Z can run IS 13.6. It's been done more than once. Look for Alberto. He ran 13.7 in his Z when it was all stock.

I've seen the 07s at the track before and saw them consistant 13.7s some 13.8s here and there. I never see people running 5-7 tenths and in this video's case over a second worse than what the car is capible of unless they never drove, or there is something wrong with the car. But if all those times are true on that forum then dam, where the hell are these Zs, I've never seen em. All the Zs i raced i have either destroyed or for some of the modded ones juuust beat em.

I have a race against a Z with an intake manifold, intake, and full exhaust. I was bone stock. I won. search: 2005 mustang gt vs. modded 350z. It's an 03 Z. Nonetheless, Nissan really did a good job n these Zs for 07

Was that Z Auto, or 6spd? I have been to the drag strip completely stock in my Z. Only got to run 3 passes the first time ever taking it to the 1/4 mile.  3rd and final pass resulted in a 14.1. I was up at the track another time with some friends, and a Guy in a new GT stang was running 14.3's. We have different experiences and the driver can make all the difference in the world.

You have to think beyond that, cause there is more than hp/tq and weight differences. You have left out the increased redline. 07 Z redlines at like 7300 rpm's or something like that, forget the actual number, but it's far better powerband than the previous models. The 07 Z dyno's around 250-260whp. The 03 running 13.6 like I said, has been done more than one time and with more than one 03 Z. I can understand your argument if it was only ONE car and ONE run, but it's not.

z had bad launch.. and with the suspension setup that the Z has its harder to launch because of bad wheel hop. the gt has a solid axle rear end thats setup for straightline use. z still does very well for being a V6 compared to a V8 with bigger cylinders. i'd say the z still owns the stang.. stang should have kicked the z's butt like it was nothing.. but it was only a few tenths off... poor POS mustang...

you got the other way around, Z would catch up in the long run, but mustang would be the one ahead in the short run due to its massive torque. Mustang may have only 300 hp but it only need to rev 5750rpm to reach that power compare to Z which needs to rev 6800rpm to reach 306hp, over 1k difference in rev range. And lets not forget that Mustang has Torque Of 320@4500rpm compare to Z's 268@4800, a difference of 52 lb-ft. Mustang weighs about 100lb more though.

But still.. I'm rooting for the Z :P
