Just a note (Although I doubt you'll pay heed since you might not play this game again). Kelly, along with whichever companion you take with you, has value indeed in being a shield. However, you could increase their effectiveness by giving them a better item. Kelly backed me up all the way until I reached near the stadium. I didn't know that not picking her up before I died would make me lose her. Bummer. She had a swingy mace too.

I just finished the game. HOLY FUCK does it eat up your time. I cant imagine how long the expansion will take me if i buy it. Started from 8 and played until 11. Definatly time well spent though.
