OMG. I just cannot believe this. You cannot imagine how much time & money we would all have saved if we saw this before investing in expensive gym equipment.
True. When l started to explore calisthenics l also started to laugh at myself for spending so much money for the gym.Today l know, bodyweight training may make you ripped, tough and armed with amazing functional strength virtually for free.lt's a pure pleasure, eruption of creativity, excercises variations are endless. You may try it.
K ... this exercise is impossibly manly! I'm proud to say i do not have the muscle mass to properly do this exercise! Ladies...this is an exercise you don't want to work on.
amazing....you are in excellent shape. i have never encountered this kind of exercise in my years of using the swiss ball. thank you. i just love the swiss ball!!!!
OK, I understand. One final thought - indirectly exercises that promote balance, flexibility and joint stability can facilitate mass (size) gains. Taking any weak links out of the kinetic chain (i.e. unstable low back) will let you train harder. Increasing my core stability took me from a double to triple bodyweight squat.
Umm no. Not every guy wants to look like a freaking mountain of muscle. I personally believe in functional fitness/movement. Moves like these are absolutely killer and will fire your core like you wouldnt believe.
thanks for responding, I didnt actually expect a response, I was just venting..back when I first started working out I bought every fart in a box out there (some of them quite expensive) hoping I would get the same results I saw on the models using the equipment on tv to no avail, it was very frustrating! All in all it looks like a good light workout to be done in addition to a real workout or when you dont have the time to get to a gym, thank you for your honesty.
Thanks for your comments. Many of the Swiss ball exercises can be more than just a light workout. They're are plenty of guys at the gym who can bench 300 lbs but struggle with many of the intermediate exercises in our DVDs.
I would like to know if these core exercises can help my mom ( 67) she has osteophorosis, or if you can tell me what exercise is good for her back, thanks
You're right. These exercises are about 70% of what I do. I also do some basic weightlifting exercises and about 1-2 hours of cardio a week and sometimes a long hike etc. As I said this particular exercise is not something I do all the time and it's certainly not one of the most important ball exercises. I almost never do barbell (or dumbbell) curls. I feel the arms generally get all the work they need with more functional pushing and pulling movements.

do you use the swiss ball for all your strength training? How do you train infraspinatus, trapezius and latissimus dorsi for example?
