This phone is awesome, but you have to be smart enough to use it. It's not a simple phone to use. Think of it as a tiny laptop computer the runs slower but does the same tasks. MOTO, i give you thumbs up for a great effort for and affordable alternative to the iphone.

For the love of god do not buy a phone with Motoblur, it is the most atrocious piece of software in the world. If you forget your password the Forgot Password? link doesn't work. Then you call their customer service department and they give you some bullshit runaround answer that they are performing maintenance on the system and tell you to wait 24 hours and try again.

Meanwhile your phone will be completely locked down and you won't be able to use it!

Can somebody help me? After the 2.1 upgrade I get absolutely no Internet signal, I can get WiFi, I have the E for edge but no bars at all... this has been like this for about a week. If I factory reset, will it reset to 1.5? If someone can message me and help me out it'd be much appreciated.

but for people like myself, the backflip is a much better option as it doesnt cost an arm and a leg like the iphone.

iphone = better screen by far, better apps, better UI, everything better. BUT, it costs a shit load

@MrLesPaul24 Keyboard is the main drawing feature for the backflip really, it is the pure reason I got it! (Only android keyboard phones in AU were moto backflip and moto dext, the dext screen is stickier and slide out is too 'straight', backflip allows for a huge range of movement in the keyboard, even to support the phone on its side to watch movies and stuff - like a kickstand!)

One FANTASTIC thing about Motoblur: it actually stores ALL of your account info at on a server some where. If you ever have to format your phone, when you use your existing Motoblur account again, all of your icons are in the same place and you don't have to redo email settings! I even had my camera malfunction so I got a replacement phone, used my existing Motoblur account on the new phone, and BOOM! there's all my icons where they were and my pop3 email!!!!!!

@Saintclair27 - If you take lots of pictures and videos, do NOT get this phone. It will reboot the phone much of the time, and will make you want to throw it under a bus. I'm on my second unit, same exact issue. It's frustrating beyond belief! I'm switching to another model of phone. FYI, this issue is all over the web if you Google "motorola backflip reboots when using camera", even though AT&T claims they've not heard of the problem.
