  • @philam64 it is made to send midi to a korg kaoss pad.

s2midi or MIDIRelay both work well.

  • good job and awesome guitar! :P

  • @blackMIDImanson the part are all on there way now. should be a few days. there will be a link and a New video up when its ready. price will be similar to the gazlang kit.

  • can you get that thing into form to hook up to an ibanez jem?

  • @mmjarec yes its possible, i don't think it could be a full 5.7 in diagonal screen but the small Nintendo ds size might fit nice on an angle near the other controls

  • Hi great video. Would you be able to tell me where I can get one and how much thanks

  • the kit is nearly complete, pcb is done and code is in the final debug stages... ill start working on the new video tomorrow. kits should be available by next week. thanks for all the interest and comments.

  • Nintendo ds touchscreen

  • @davidcrm2 i can only find those little touchscreen's and not in the size of the touchscreen in the video.

can you send me a link?

  • @oObrotkarstenOo Sparkfun.com

  • @davidcrm2 i know that already but i cant find a touchscreen in that size.

  • @davidcrm2 maybe i'm wrong but i think the ds touchscreen is smaller than this one in the vid

  • Hi guy, you made the best work! can you give some tricks? i bought an arduino One starter kit, 4 wire touchpad, and the led too. i'm sure that i miss something, could you give me the connect map? and i'll try to write my own sketch

  • hello! what hardware do you used to do this kit?

  • @SalvoInz90

atmega328, momentary switch, resistive touch screen, midi jack, 7805 voltage regulator, 16 mhz crystal, four caps and 9 resistors

  • @bassman76jazz thanks!! can you send me a project or a code of this controller?

  • @SalvoInz90

i don't give away my code but i will help you to wright your own. you can find almost everything i used in code examples at arduino.cc

  • @bassman76jazz how is composed a midi signal? is a group of bits?

  • @SalvoInz90

yes it is groups of bits as serial data sent at a 31250 baud rate, in arduino there is a midi library to take care of everything(i don't use it) check it out at arduino.cc

  • @bassman76jazz where did u get the XY PAD FROM? GOT ANY FOR SALE?

  • @greenmusedayvideos sparkfun.com

  • @bassman76jazz do you sell complet midi kits?

  • So, you could already connect this to a midi port and use it to work the kaoss pad?

how do you know what commands to send via midi to the kaoss pad? where can i read the commands it needs?

  • @pieface1726

yes, its all setup to do send midi cc. in this example i have the baud rate set lower so i can see the output in the arduino serial window but once the programing is set you can set the baud rate back to the midi rate.

the midi commands are usually listed in the device manual for the kaoss pad it is available on line as a pdf.

  • oh.. can wait too see your project to combined with kaosspad or any midi-host...

  • thats a great work...

it still plugged to PC? can u mod that to midi in/out without any computer connection?

  • @doncoxon its only plug into the usb to provide power and receive the sent information via serial(i just did that so i could show the serial TX info in the lower left corner). it runs independently on a 9v. i have improved the led and smoothed out the data since this video.
