  • In a response to shorty40merza you should look into "splitting" the boulders you want to get rid of so they're more manageable when you want to move them, bury them or whatever.

  • thats a good method for dealing with those boulders, impressive skills !

  • i hate the greater vancouver laws about the travel alarms

  • @ItsColdUpNorthh

lol - I hate the GV laws on just about everything! So bloody anal. Can't even cut down a tree on your own property! Glad I moved out of the Vancouver city limits.

  • @kimchiman1000 lucky you haha! the burning laws are pretty crappy too. where i live , were only allowed 1 burning day of the year! no matter if your commercial or residential. complete garbage

  • Great Skill! Thanks for sharing.

    RL

  • nice

  • Why this excavator so noisy?

When it forward and reverse it still have that "bip bip bip bip" sound.

  • It is a travel alarm. It is required by law in my area that such machines are equipped with this alarm. But usually if it stops working, no one will fix it, because no one wants to hear it - lol!

  • hi sir Ive got a property with blue volcanic rocks some as big as these ones and i got a quotation for excavation 20 000 dollars so i thought i cant afford that and am thinking of buying a machine but i dont know how many tonnes? would 3 tonners do it? would their jackhammer blast rocks this big? how many tonnes is this machine ?

  • I don't think I can really give you a straight answer, unfortunately. I don't really know about the composition of the rocks, or how hard they are. It really depends a LOT one the hardness of the rocks. A small machine breaking hard rocks like granite can be an exercise in futility, whereas a larger and more expensive machine might do just fine. But that's granite, and what you have may be a very different story.

    continued....

  • The best advice I can give you is to get quotes from several contractors in your area, not just from one or two. It might also be worth paying a consultant in your area to have a look at it and give you more direct advice.

    Good luck, my friend!

  • thanx alot for your answer sir its useful. my rocks are not granites. Most likely from the soil test they are floating in a fill not origional bedrock. the problem with big machines is both the transport and cost and also its not handy for small projects in the future. i am thinkign of a five tonner maybe... any way am doign my excevation license and will see how it goes, thanx alot though

  • volvo is the way to go eh

  • Everybody have an opinion but shure is and also true.

The Hitachi is probobly the moste economic machine over 5000 hours.

  • I've still not had the chance to try a Hitachi/Deere mini. I've heard good words about them.

  • Try Hitachi EX8000, the largest excavator in the world! LOL

  • Sounds EXACTLY like the 430s I've been operating - NONE of us really like them, to be honest.

At first, we thought they were 'cool' because they can travel pretty fast on the high speed setting; but after getting used to them, you sure end up wishing you were operating something else, guys!

After a few hundred hours (it sure doesn't take long) the undercarriage and final drives are already crapped out. No guts at all!

  • It's my personal favorite of all the machines we have. I like it MUCH more than the old school 200, or even the 135.

It's a 'fun' machine to operate.

  • I was operating a Bobcat 430 ZHS today, and was thinking about your comment.

If you think the travel/boom management sucks in a zx75, just try a 430 zhs! Nice machine, but that aspect of it totally sucks! Just lifting the boom while going up a grade is enough to stall the engine if you don't baby it.

  • iwish iwas as Good as You with equipment

  • al you are the best operator i have ever seen and i have seen alot of operators good job take care

  • Good thing you can't see me blush over the internet, bro!

    Thanx!

  • Nice move. At first the "JAWS" theme came to mind but then I thought of Mozart.

  • Yeah.

    Mozart, not JAWS.

  • What do you think

Are the stones more or less then 2 tons or more?

  • I would guess that the bigger one was probably just a wee bit more than that.

  • The only real complaint I have is about the stupid cab design, which seems to be common to all short tail swing machines that I've operated. No room for lunchy!

Come on, engineers - pull your heads out of your collective backsides and get the cabs right on these things!

  • Good operator skills! To keep the rock between the blade and the bucket, without tipping over. Good job. Nice video to!

  • The blade is very handy. Nice video.

  • Hi Kimchiman !

Nice vid, do you have a new excavator ?

And it is written fasttrack- can you go over the highway with it- im joking but what is the speed?

    5 miles per hour ?

    First 5/5

    Gasteraner

  • It was new last year.

The speed in the video is the top speed, so it's probably only 4 mph. But that's just a guess.
