Watching this video over and over hundreds of times with my Dad (an early taper and Springsteen nutcase!) is one of my earliest childhood memories. As a very young kid (3 or 4) I actually thought Sting was a member of the E Street band because I watched this so many times.

as far as performance, people say bruce best years were 75-80, but I believe he's gottan better since, until the rising album in 2002, after the physical began winding down the boss' ability to continue to surprise us, but THIS is right there with any perfomer in history, plus latin crowds helps.

Realmente fue un privilegio poder estar en River ese día, valió la pena hacer los 2500 km entre ida y vuelta para estar en ese show increible que dieron Sting, Bruece Springsteen, Tracy Chapman, Yuossou N'Dour y Peter Gabriel. Wow, I taped this concert from the radio in 1988, mostly to record Peter Gabriel's set.
