hey there I dont know anything bout this machines and this stuff but i wont to know more and even bye one . (the one witch works only with foam ) somebody can help me? if u have the company witch is making this machines or something pls help me ) thnx
Every tool shape has it's own calculation that take in account the shape and size of the tool and the scan. Especially 3D Scans are heavy to calculate, so we use all cores of the PC in our Copy CAD/CAM for stone.
The choice of tool shape and size depends on the kind of material you want to work in. There is not just one kind of marble. You must know your material well, the machine and the tools available. It's far from automatic, it requires a lot of know-how.
I've always wondered how you figure out which tooltips should be used as different tooltips would require different controll code for the CNC (I guess). Is this all done automatically by software or does it require an engineer to think the whole process through?
No doubt I could learn this from a book. But that wasn't my question... I'm just curious if these calculations are done automaticaly by a computer given some parameters or do you really need an experienced engeneer.
@powertomato Oh Ok, I kind of went out of context The selection of tools is something that the CNC cant evaluate basically because it is a decision based on Base Material Strenght considerations , Performance of the Tool etc, so at least now that little decision must be made by an engineer.
duration of programming?"resolving the projectt" and create the toolpath?..is it a certain way..or is it up to the "sharpness" of the user-programmer?time to load and down load the piece in/up/on the cnc machine?...and one more..in case of other smaller projects maybe..witch way do u hold down the piece..by vacumming i suppose.if the answer is yes i wonder if its a reliable way to secure the stability of the piece.
Anyway..it got to be a machine to create.."angels":-)
It requires all this resources just to make one marble figurine.....this really puts into perspective how amazing the artisans of the ancient world from the Greeks & Romans to Rennaissance Europe must have been to create all those monuments and cities without this technology!
How much does the machine cost

@powertomato read a manufacturing processes book and then youll learn how to calculate which tool to use.

That's pretty cool man. Better than a rapid prototype for sure. Looks like there's a market for it.
so how much does it cost?
BrandonHGill 1 year ago
Well the water is recycled in the machine, so it's not so bad. It's a grinding not cutting process using diamond tools :-)
scantech2009 1 year ago 2
The water bill must be really expensive for this project.
