some of you people need to read the description. The person tells you what tools they are using. and a nose that looks so easy to draw is not very easy. but the more you work at it. the better you will get. it could be frusterating but once you get it it's worth the hard work.

It's nice to see it done on YouTube, but unless you know the fundamentals or already have innate talent, you need to take a drawing course. There are basic drawing techniques that you need to learn before being able to learn how to draw.

making things look realistic on a computer using a free draw tool is harder then drawing with a pencil or a pen. oh and technically they are drawing by hand considering they're using a mouse and you kind of need your hand to control the mouse. kthx bye

@taylorsailor13 No it isnt. All u need is stop worryin about how da outcome will b and just keep a steady hand and a keen eye. Dont worry bout how it will turn out before u start. Dont lose confidence n ur hand, keep that eye sharp for the slightest mess up. I mean there's no such thing as a perfect drawing, but there's always a DAMN GOOD drawing. So dont worry, and besides, with time, you will only get better. Believe it.

@taylorsailor13 you need to learn how does it works, (i know it's very late, but anyway) you should try to draw the same what's shown on this vid..

Take paper, pencil, sit at comp table, and do everything what's on vid. This should help. it's also good exercise.

You can download ArtRage from Ambient Design. They have a free version with slightly restricted tool range, but it`s really good. "Painter" refers to Corel Painter probably. And I personally think Illustrator is not so great for drawing, but you won`t get around using layers over the long run anyway. Be happy you have them...

I think you can get a mac version of Gimp, it's like a free version of photoshop. Don't bother with illustrator, it's not designed for this sort of drawing.
