They used to have one of these at Como Zoo in St. Paul back when they had the OLDER/BETTER rides. This, the Roudup, Tilt-A-Whirl, and other fun rides.
Good video, i never knew what these machines did until now, i thought it was a boring superbowl style ride.. its quite clear that this is how the tagada came about!

I haven't seen one of these in probably 25 years! I used to LOVE the air relase noise as a kid! I amost forgot about this one.
