Could the same techniques be used on the Clearwater river? Mid/late summer. Late July /august near orofino? I use jerkbaits but I wanna try something else.

We use a pumpkin seed colored 4 in worm with chartreuse wacky rigged on a jig head.

A few, mostly smallies but some largemouths up to 9 pounds that I know of.

I just fished the river down past the dam a few days ago and there were so many carp that it was hard to keep them off the hook but I eventually caught some smallies. Bass fishing is always good down there.

My Wife is from American Falls. I really have a good time catching smallies out of the river below the damn. I have never done well in the lake. I have lost two big smallies in the spring in the lake. You guys are pounding them. What a great day. I am going to hit it this weekend and see what I can come up with. Good Job Guys.

i fish there before i got nothing but trout from there
