Everybody talks about the jobs that Americans wont do ..I was in the construction industry from the 70's through the 90's , when we had the great migration of Mexicans into Atlanta , from Texas and Louisiana ..They moved because they had run out of work there ,and turned those places into little Mexico's..The funny thing is before we got any ileagles ,the houses got built ,the fruit got picked and the parking lots all got landscaped...The only difference was we all made a decent living...

People are just starting to wake up to the illegal immigration problem. For years I've watched even people in the middle class subcontract mexican workers to make money off their cheap labour. It's exploitation and greed. Now that the middle class contractors can't find work now they're appalled about the illegal immigration problem. Unfortunately now that it's too late. The economy of course is a very complex issue, but illegal immigration is definately a piece of the puzzle.

Your anecdotes about hard-working Mexicans notwithstanding (and most are), illegal immigrants are radically over-represented on public assistance, especially food stamps and free emergency medical care. Look it up. This used to be a nation with living standards and living wages. That's an interesting comment. The relationship between Jews and WASPS in finance is a strange one. I can tell you one thing: scapegoats are already being used. Yesterday, an Indian hedge fund manager and 5-6 other Indian-born operatives were busted for insider trading, about $20MM (it's in the news). Now, that arrest is a way of deflecting attention from the Goldman bonuses. That Indian dude was thrown into the arena so the real looting can continue. All of us in that industry know it.
