Thom Yorke's nervous tics seem like an act. He's really a mess. Answering a simple question without 18 um, ah, um, ah, um's is REALLY difficult for this "artist." This incoherent mumbler is no genius in my book!
Who told you, that a genius has to answer in proper entire sentences. It's obviously difficult for him to sort his thoughts,flowing around in his head, and to form a sentence without those ums and ahs. I agree,that it's difficult to follow his answers sometimes, but who cares?...
...Thoms ingeniousness has nothing to do with his sentence structure.He's an artist. He chose the way to express his thoughts through his lyrics.And his brillancy is reflected in his amazing songwriting.That's all, that really matters.

Does anyone else think that last rupture in "Morning Bell" after Thom's "walkin walkin walkin" section, where Jonny's guitar just goes shrieking into the oblivion...does anyone else think that's meant to represent the release of a ghost? It has an almost exorcistic quality don't it? It sounds like letting a ghost out of a barn into the night. I'm telling you..there's some meaning to that sound.
your hypothesis is thought-provoking. Johnny's guitar does produce a rather ghostly-sounding noise. there's no way to know besides asking the band. To answer your question, though, the flourish has never struck me as exorcistic
That makes some sense. After Jonny's said "shriek", there is a return to a non-chaotic state, tranquil, where things are calming down. That could definitely work as a reasonable interpretation, and a very interesting one. All in all, Jonny's shriek is absolutely awesome.
I wouldn't call what radiohead made music. I'd call it something else it's just so different to anything iv'e ever heard.
