@ratched87 You're so right. Didn't knew this show until last week. Just watched all the episodes in one week. all days, watching the wire. After that, i feel like something i miss. Remember  at the final ending, duquan taking the same way as Bubs... No more baltimore's stories. I'm sad...

@Oslo78 Don’t feel bad I just caught on to the Wire.....and yes I spent three days watching all five seasons...... Baltimore sad stories reflect the cynicism of the city at times.....it was sad but a fitting tribute.....but it was hard to see the ones trying to change their life got killed!

This is probably my third favorite version of this song. Tom Waits' original version comes in first, with the Neville Brothers' stomping rendition from season 3 coming in second. The instrumental backing on this version is amazing, but I think the vocals are styled too much toward gospel and not enough toward blues. That being said, I still love it.

Loved Season 1 of The Wire and this song is, as McNulty, Englishman playing and American, playing and Englishman, would say, Spot On! On my iPod now! Didn't like Season 2's theme (sorry Tom). Just starting Season 3.
