  • Each one is a master by him/herself. Do not compare one with the other. You may like banganpalli mango and another may like malgova.

He is a great vocalist .

  • One can't enjoy any other viriboni version after this. Thanks for posting this.

  • REAL LEGEND IN BOTH FORM OF INDIAN VOCAL CLASSICAL MUSIC.

  • a great vocalist from andhrapradesh. he has become a "paroksha guru" to all the music lovers who learned the krithis from his AIR-Sangeetha Sikshan" programme

from vijayawada...can any one post more of his concerts...plz

  • @saptaswaraksrb : you can download lots of his concerts and songs from sangeethapriya website.

  • Also, my guruji Shree Akella Mallikarjuna Sarma (from where I learnt violin), is a great friend of Shree Voleti, has played lot of concerts w/ him, Nedunuri gaaru and many more.

One recording of Voleti/MSG he sang a marvellous Kamavardhini raga, elaborated so well, especially with quite less of sa-pa usage, ..., and, must hear MSGs accompaniment & his raga rendition in same lines - a treat to the ears. I will post it somewhere. Such music is pure bliss. Geniuses the god bestowed us with.

  • This is a classic.

Somebody asked who is the violinist.

It is none other than the GREAT M.S. Gopalakrishnan. The best the god has bestowed in indian classical music to this world.

  • great voice!

    great violin!

thanks for your effort in editing the video to add the swaras after the charanam

  • Awesome! Thanks for the post.

Sri Voleti Venkateshwarlu is from Padmabhushan Sri Sripada Pinkapani sishya parampara (consisting of other legends like Sri Nedunuri Krishnamurthy) - one of the most celebrated schools in the Carnatic world from Andhra.

  • considered one of the best vocalists from andhraparadesh whose popularity was limited as he shunned the limelight and taught many in the AIR vijaywada ( he wa sthe local artist there) and a familiar voice with many telugu families( i would say mothers) who used to tune in to AIR vijayawada in morning ( in period 1970-1980s) getting children ready for schools while listending to his program 'sangeeta sikshana'...one of the least celebrated legends with golden voice....

    Allareddyrr

  • @allareddyrr the way of the old masters ! like Dhannammal, Pandanallur Meenakshi Sundaram Pillai, Kaatumanar and so on...ahh if only the new generation can get this into their heads

  • excellent!!
