  • hey he worked the count full at least he didnt strike out on three pitches he did good

  • What I don't understand is why he didn't do this twenty years ago when he had a shot at actually ripping one.

  • Hahah. I think it'd be really cool to be in Paul Maholm's spot, pitching against him.

  • He got some game he got to a full count 3-2 if he would of layed off he would of had a walk but you knew he just wanted a hit and i would of done the same.

  • Great video. Stupid sound track!

  • Good job Billy. You looked good out there kid.

  • Shoulda rammed a fastball up that pussy's ass. What a shameful moment in Yankee history.

  • @spagandtuna How is it shameful? Because he's old? Give me a break. It's a happy moment. It would be good if more 60 year olds, not just the rich and famous, were able to do this.

  • @elijahkelso Hello, do you know what you're saying? First, I said nothing about him or anyone being "old." Second, do YOU think 60 is old? A preoccupation with old is obviously your thing. Not mine. Billy Crystal's little trick cheapens the efforts of folks who put in the time and effort to be worthy of putting on a major league uniform. If the Yankees wanted to kiss his ass, there's a whole lot of ceremonial things they could have offered. MORE

  • @spagandtuna Haha, i have no preoccupation with age. Nice assumption though. I was trying to understand the possible reasoning you might have for why it is shameful. I don't see the difference between him playing and the other players other than their age. They are all playing the same game.

They should let a different baseball fan do this every week. It's not like it's anywhere near the same position as playing for a team every week and getting the admiration and money for doing it.

  • @elijahkelso If you were really trying to understand, why didn't you ask? And your comment about what you called "other players" is outrageous. Crystal in no way shape or form could be described as a "player." The coup de grace is your wish to "let a different baseball fan do this every week." You are clearly from another planet sent here to destroy the game.

  • @spagandtuna Dude it was a spring-training game, who gives a shit? It wasnt even televised I dont think, and if it was, it was probably at 1pm in the afternoon on a workday so its not like millions of people saw it. The fact that you are getting this uppity over a spring-training game is too pathetic for words, im sorry

  • @thndrct218 Dude, your points are meaningless. Like anything in baseball that happens at 1PM, in a game that's not televised, or even in a spring training game, isn't important so anything goes. Those doors were shut before you tried to open them. Allowing that entitled arrogant fool to do what he did made a mockery of the game for many reasons (just see my comments above) and the only good thing about it was that it was so brief. Give a deserving rookie that one at bat, he hits HR and who knows

  • @spagandtuna Ive played this sport for 20 years now (Still active), and I dont see it as being some disgrace. The roster wasnt altered in any way in that some unknown guy trying to make the team was released to make room for the guy. If nothing else, I look at it as a means of one MLB team going the extra mile for its fans (Billy Crystal is a Yankee fan). I only wish it was a common fan who entered and won a contest and not Billy Crystal. I only wish it was to reinforce my point.

  • @thndrct218 I doubt very much whether your view mirrors that of most players, who I suspect have remained largely silent but embarrassed by that event. I would also add resentful if they thought about how that interloper got to actually play in a real contest. But you and I will never know the extent to which I might be correct. CTD

  • CONCL The bottom line is that it was Billy Crystal's celebrity and personal connections to the Steinbrenners that got him his undeserved priviledge. I'm a Yankee fan to the core and yet even I can see the shamefulness of this. And why stop at one at bat? Why not let himplay a couple of innings, take the field? Why not have a rotating position for community leaders, celebs, even fans?? How deep do you want to dig and sit in your shit???

  • @spagandtuna -_- *yawns*

  • @Crabman2186 Coming from a dullard and a dolt, of course you would be bored. You can't hang.

  • @spagandtuna Because you use the same excuses. Life is not fair get over it. There is always someone better than you. At least Billy Crystal is a Yanks fan i think your the kind of person that would cheer if Lady Gaga was hitting for the Yankees rather than Crystal get over it kid. I felt bad enough responding to a troll but i wanted to embrass you i hope it worked

  • @Crabman2186 The only thing you succeeded in doing was confirming that you don't really have anything worthwhile to say. After all I wrote, it makes no sense to suggest that I would be in favor of anyone who is not an actual player hit in a game. I'm also a Yankee fan, but I would never even conceive of it myself either. So why don't you run along dope, your mammy's calling you.

  • @spagandtuna Your still a poker face fag lol

  • @Crabman2186 This coming from a dumb ass man cunt who has the crabs!!!

  • @elijahkelso If I would have gone to that game I would have been enraged to know that the actual game didn't start until one out in the first inning, just so the egomaniac could have his moment. Yes sir, if only the pitcher could have channeled the ferocity of Don Drysdale on behalf of all the really deserving actual players in history, that would have been quite the statement.

  • mahvelous!

  • Billy Crystal has done more for baseball than you can imagine. I love hearing him just talk about Mickey or Roger Maris. Billy talking about baseball gets me fired up

  • yea...actually im a college student who lives in a dorm room at the moment...and if your implying that i like hip-hop or rap, then you're just stupid. i prefer real music. but again, insults like "queerbait faggot"...i mean, keep them coming. you must have to work really hard to combine those words in to one really awesome phrase.

  • i agree with dummy

    jmiller is a fuckin dickhead

    go die in a fire

  • uhh, i was agreeing with gobacktoschooldummy until i heard him use the n-word, why dont you jerk off you low-life piece of shit?

  • one of my lifelong dreams...say jerk off just one more time...you told him to not post if he doesnt have anything nice to say yet you called him a jerkoff loser...and then i guess you wanted to say jerkoff again. go back to school dummy. billy crystal is a tool.

  • man, i think thats every baseball fans dream. what a lucky man to be able to do this...

  • Yes, I was glad to be able to share it with him! Awesome!

    Thanx for stopping in! :)

  • Well, he DID get a piece of one! LOL!

  • I saw the game on T.V. the Pirates pitcher (Paul Maholm), was throwing cutters in the 90's. That's Major League...

  • I'd like to see you do better at 60 years old.

  • @badderthanyou He's also 60 years old at this time. There are many 30 year olds that can't hit a major league pitcher

  • @leobold1 Yeah, and there are 80 year olds that can. The lobbed him pitches and he stunk it up. He is a narcissist and thought people would want to see this.

  • Would have been interesting if they walked him.

  • I was kinda hoping for that, if he couldn't get a hit! :)

  • Well, maybe you could look at it like, when sports stars do charity events for handicapped, by participate. ;)

  • He looked mahvelous! I know he was happy. Thanks for the very entertaining vid shortbus...

  • My pleasure, sweetie! :)

  • A real life 'Moonlight Graham' moment for Billy Crystal. It was great to see a 60yr old man become a kid again for a few minutes. Just goes to show that baseball, in it's purest form, is still a beautiful and magical game.

  • The Great American Pastime! :)

  • NOSEBLEEDS

  • Tilt your head back! ;)

  • Three prerequisites for a Billy Crystal movie: Witty Life-Lessons, him saying "schmuck" at least once, and a Yankees anecdote.

  • LOL! I believe you're right! ;)

  • i guess he IS afraid of Billy

  • LOL! ;)

  • Did he do anything else after batting or did he just watch after?

  • No, & he only hung around for a few more innings. Ah, the celebrity life! ;)

  • That must have been so cool. The crowd wanted him to hit the ball, sounds like it anyways hehe.

  • Yes, I think we would've brought the place down, had he got on base! :)

  • What if he had homered?

  • I woulda pooped 'em! LOL! ;)

  • He went down swingin'!

  • Can't say he didn't try! :)

  • I was suprised that Billy Crystal wasn't in the Mitchell Report.

  • LOL! :)

  • right on, all his acomplishments, i bet this was the best one of all!!! thanks for showin!

    Nraged

  • My pleasure! I'm glad I was able to see it in person!

    ..TheShortOne ;)

  • That was fun, even if he didn't get a hit!

  • I'm sure he was thrilled! I know , I was for him! :)

  • I think the Indians signed him to a 3 year deal! >:P

  • LOL! You think he'd have 'em? Ha!

    Have a good weekend! *hugs*

  • That's why I'm happy for him. How cool! :)
