@spagandtuna Ive played this sport for 20 years now (Still active), and I dont see it as being some disgrace. The roster wasnt altered in any way in that some unknown guy trying to make the team was released to make room for the guy. If nothing else, I look at it as a means of one MLB team going the extra mile for its fans (Billy Crystal is a Yankee fan). I only wish it was a common fan who entered and won a contest and not Billy Crystal. I only wish it was to reinforce my point.

I'm a Yankee fan to the core and yet even I can see the shamefulness of this. And why stop at one at bat? Why not let himplay a couple of innings, take the field?
