Monzon was a very gifted boxer. When not in the ring beating up men with his fists, he would occupy his time beating up women - usually wives or girlfriends - ultimately killing one of them. What a man!

he would knock Monzon out... Half right...Monzon seemed to show a bit of mercy at the end...

Harry Gibbs .. crap as usual. Should have stopped Bogs from beig so brave. When Monzon is indicating the fight should have been stopped Gibbs should have taken this on board. Monzon was a real toughie !

@70Mack close between him and Hagler..Marvin was quicker and boxed better..yet Monzon had more power and could wear you down...id pay a lot of money to see that bout

@kcatleticos Please can you explain how monzon had more power than Hagler when you look at the knock out percentage of each fighter. Monzon is not even 60%. This wear you down theory, Hagler was only knocked down once in his career (slip) and by the way Monzon was on the deck many times against journeymen.

@genevincentable I love hagler, i though he was better than Monzon- i would love to see a 1970 Monzon vs. a 1980 hagler, that would be a dream fight..hagler had much tougher competion to to face than Monzon- Hagler had more skill as a 'boxer' Monzon reminded me of a street fighter turned boxer which he was and hagler was a classically trained fighter but he could definitely brawl too

@genevincentable Monzón realizo más de 100 combates,de los cuales solo perdió 3 y por puntos jamás estuvo en la lona, jamás terminó una pelea con la cara marcada por los golpes, si bien era más lento que Hagler su pegada era más potente siempre permanecia bien plantado y frio haciendo valer su estatura y mayor alcance de brazos otra cualidad era que al retroceder lanzaba directos.

Hagler salia a dar y a recibir, y muchas peleas terminó con la cara desfigurada aunque era duro e incansable.
