A friend of mine was an RCA engineer at BBC when they played there. They were still The Beatles, not THE BEATLES! He got them all to sign a 4 song EP for him, he keeps it in a safe deposit box. He let me check it out, but I didn't play it on the stereo.
@MsNegative24 Thanks it was so good back then. Get this, my older sister got to see the Beatles Live in 1966 for her 1st concert. I was so mad. I was too young. my Father took her. That's one she will always best me..lol
this is brilliant, totally sincere and well sung, it must be great to be at a concert like this when the young guys are not only trying hard to give a show but then find out years later that you witnessed true greatness, superb, and i like the photo of john amd paul together, genuinly having a 'larf'.
There's something about it ... I love Please Mr. Postman too (not to mention countless songs from later in their career) but this one ... the yearning in John's voice, the harmonies, even Ringo's drum fills -- perfection! Melancholy. Passionate. Timeless! Yeah!
I always loved this song because it is very "genetalia related" if you know what I mean. The first time I lost my virginity, this song was in my head! WOOEE!
i love this song. i had never thought of this song like that, don't think thats what it means but i can kinda see what you mean. and you lost your virginity more than once.
"By an America an Groop". Gotta love his accent!

The Beatles in my opinion did this much better than anyone else. Even The Miracles themselves.

This is a rarity on the vocals. John and George did this number, with Paul coming in for the third.

This song seems like was made to be sung by John. This is my favorite song from With The Beatles.

but beatles didn't do it
viceisthename 2 years ago
@wamouse
This is meant to be sung by Lennon.
Lennon always have the, "Hey that other guy is cute too" comment after Paul. So yes Lennon is a girl magnet too. confirmed.

@rudyghinasky he's an everyone magnet, really - me a girl but that's what boys say :)

In spite of the flubbed lyrics, the Beatles, specifically John really deliver an outstanding live performance. Great cover.
