hey whats up ... forget the level number of technique..what should sum1 like me do if i were to fight sum1 nearly a foot taller than me and weighs 70-80 more than me.. im 5'6 135lb. ... im thinkin of staying low"as u should be" and going 4 evasive movements and striking low vital areas.. ending up behind him and choking him out...... what kind of technique do you think would be good due to the disadvantage of the smaller combatant..
Going from long range to grappling range is a huge leap that is generally impractical. Next time you're working with a partner, try 3/4 speed medium range sparring. Try not to disengage from medium range. You will find that it is uncomfortable to fight at that range because it is closer than usual for people, but going from medium range to grappling range is more appropriate than long to short. I hope that helps.
I started writing a more detailed method and came to the conclusion that that wouldn't work either. Takedowns work fairly well in close quarters combat, but from your position, in relation to your opponent, you're too far away to execute a takedown. Think about your ranges. Long range = kicking range, Medium range = punching range, Short range = elbow and knee range, and Grappling range. Most people fight at a long range and advance toward their opponents to strike and then back off.
Yeah a video would be great, I see your points and will deeply consider them. They are gold for me friend. I thank you very much.
I think that this attack you would have to place the forearm to allow them to run into it and take themselves off balance. I think where I begin the technique we are too far away, this works better closer.
This technique is only applicable in theory. There are several things wrong with "techniques" in general. It shows you that a sequence of moves is used to dispatch your opponent, when in reality that exact sequence of moves will be broken by the opponent due to resistance or the opponent doesn't put themselves in the position for the technique to be applied. I've done a similar technique in sparring, but only to inexperienced students and never against someone of similar skill level.
I wouldn't call it a technique per se, but I do believe there is a way to put yourself in a position to do a similar takedown. I would recommend going to the outside of the guard instead of going inside. If you have a method of dealing with the other hand when you go inside, then by all means do it, but if you go to the outside of the guard, then the other hand is at an awkward angle and is less likely to hit you. I'll post a more detailed explanation because I'm running out of space in this box
Shinobi - the first thing you need to do inorder to develop true skill is study the technique untill you understand it's underlying bio-mechanical pricipal.
Then you drill it. that means practicing it on a co-operating partner from multiple, progressively complexed situations.
Then you use it in sparring, prefferably full-contact.
The actuall application will ALMOST ALWAYS be different then practice. Less clean. Quick and misleading, or they fail to work.
cool coments r still up, any way quick question who are ur favorite authors of Ninja related books (i have a lot of Dr.Haha Lungs and ashida kim's work) any specific books would be nice
shiniboimystic your takedown is also in judo juitsu criesnt hand take down is fun to do but like all worriors theres time and places use it i like vids dude
Wow, you live in Boston? I live right near there. And I kind of need a training teacher. I'm only 14 though. Where do you go for training? Also, thanks for the videos. It helps a lot.
We all need teachers and someone for guidance, especially during chaotic times. I will contact you and we can talk about some goals and what we can do.
I know I never said I did Ninpo, I personally use many of the same philosophies. And have studied ninjutsu. I don't want to confuse people that this is the true way of the ninja. I am doing martial arts adaptation martial science, my own thing, some techniques.
Hmmm... How was the technique I would like to know because do you think it would be able to take down an opponent, you might know from your martial background?
Okay, I guess you didn't see Jim Carey do the comedy routine where he tells his attacker that "You attacked me wrong!" The very first attack of this video, and you did it again. Pick an attacker that knows what you are trying to do next time. Is this a cult of fools? DO you people even test for black belts, or does the Korean guy send them in the mail with the Gi and the patch?
If this gets any bigger, you might have imitators. Talk about the blind leading the blind. LOL
Clark, I understand what you have said. I think I need to work on this technique more. I do have a black belt in TKD that I did not recieve from ChosonNinja. This is just some training I have done, I am still learning I post this stuff to find out what I need to fix. And I learn from watching this stuff.
Thanks for watching my stuff, I like your video's they are good.

I agree about using this against someone with similar skill level. They will defend against it well. I think I still need to work on this technique.
Do you believe there are variations of this technique that would work?

Yes the outside would be good, and I think I am breaking my body positioning, I think I will have to have a remix in the future.
