She was the last ferret in Petco and looked lonely all by herself. I asked the staff if I could hold her. They let her out and I did. She immediately began kissing me. That's when I knew we were meant to be together. She's my little angel! :-)

Yep. I named my baby after your town. I was up in that area of Long Island before I adopted her. I was trying to think of names for her and "Wantagh" popped up. I think it's a cool name. :-)

You can train them to go in litter boxes. You have to treat them very gently though. NEVER, EVER HIT THEM. You have to have a lot of patience to raise a ferret. They are so sweet.

Ferrets don't smell at all if you bathe them. You want to bathe them at least once a month and keep their cages clean. I use 8 in 1 Ferret Sheen for my baby. In between bathes I use the 8 in 1 Ferret Sheen conditioner/deoderizer which keeps her smelling clean and conditions her skin and coat. Keeping the cage clean is the big key though. I hope he lets you get one. They are really sweet animals. :)
