  • Ron, this video seems to me missing the last couple of minutes.

  • @wjohnson100 It works fine for me. Maybe it has something to do with your connection, or computer.

  • @smithaerospace Thanks, I will try with a different browser.

  • @smithaerospace played just fine in firefox.

  • This was a 217 meter swim, as per the results page of the competition. Her world record is only 225 meters, so I would say that, all in all, given only a short training period with a new fin, and swimming within 8 meters of her own world record, I would love to be in such bad condition and swimming with such an inefficient fin. Also, don't forget, this was a team competition. I suspect that if it was an individual competition she would have gone further.

  • I don't really like the fin, it looks like it doesn't propell as much as the other monofins

  • time = 3:55

  • I hope the Underwater footage comes available later on.

Natalia is "packing" air, and 'shakiness' is most likely due to walking backward with a handy cam, while looking out for not stumbling. I think Natalia wasn't in her peak shape, and the dive was indeed the maximum for her for that day. Notice she already went closer to the side before she was at the 200m.

Great athlete to be able to get such a performance out of new equipment with just a couple of ours of practice.

  • The cameraman have parkinson ?? ;-)

It's wonderful i hope to use it one day !

  • no packing either! kudos for diver AND FIN!

  • This is a near world record dive, done after just a few hours practice with thefin.

  • @fondueset01 - She looks way too comfortable at the end of this dive, calm and smiling. Shouldn't she be breathing heavy? She makes it look easy, like she is not even trying.
