Actually, that song is not CS, it was made wayyy before the confederacy. And Johnny Comes Marching Home is actually a remake of this song.

@Gwynnfevar That's not CSA it's Union. It was written by a Massachusetts man who's son (or some relation) was in the civil war. Massachusetts has a huge Irish population and that song was based on this one

@THEIRA21 oh right, i thought you meant unite as in ireland + england... so we're on the same page then. the only uniting i want to see is ireland + ireland, the way it should be! but that'll never happen. its been accepted for what it is, too many prods living there now calling it home. the best we could hope for is the north to be an independent sovereign state ruled by themselves by an equal unbiased catholic/protestant government, cant see that happening any time soon either.
