  • How long ago was this show on? I find it so funny I remember it but just not the year it was but I do remember it was on in the '80s

  • I miss this show!

  • Comment removed

  • what a dumb bitch

  • @sickandtiredofmorons Nope strategy. Basically because this could had to wiped out her lead, if she screwed on later questions and the speed round.

  • @sickandtiredofmorons And you're a fucking moron too. Do you even know how the game works? If you do...it doesn't show. If you don't, STFU.

  • I think Jim was on the verge of tears when she turned down that cruise! I would've definitely taken it.

  • what happend to her?

  • Anyone know how much she won by on this particular episode?

  • "I don't wanna talk about it!" (1:57) :^D

  • I think I would've preferred to go to maah=

  • Ken Jennings would wipe the floor with this old hag.

  • what I found funnier was on Alice's last show, they offered her a mexican cruise and $2,000 cash for $15 and she had a $50 lead and turned it down, JIm was on hiss knees practically begging her to take it and when she wouldn't he just shrugged it off and said "of course, Alice never buys"

  • smart move to pass on this. little is known about the island maah=.

  • I dont blame her.

  • Always nice to have a lovely trip to Maahii. LOL. With $500 spending cash, too. WTF????????

  • Alice Conkright looked like a very determined player. To turn down one of the biggest instant bargains I have ever seen is good; to turn down every single instant bargain is tough to do but she did it. I will admit, Alice is a bit robotic in her playing which can work but you come across to viewers as a know it all but she did what she had to do to win the jackpot. I give her playing 5 stars but this was a 4 star moment.

  • agreed gamshwfan, on her last show Jim mentioned he had offered her a total of $11,000 in cash in addition to the instant bargains. now that takes willpower to turn that down.

  • I LOVE SALE OF THE CENTURY! Alice is crazy lady!

  • For someone to pull off the lot in 6 games as opposed to the 7 or 8 game average, she's far from lousy.

  • this was one of the top game shows of the 80s Wish GSN could get it, but stupid Fremantle wont budge. The 80s were the best time for game shows.

  • They only could allow to give away parts of Mark DeCarlo's final apperance, which I saw on a recent GSN documentary.

  • This makes the recent update Temptation cringe.

  • Alice left with $141,000, right?

  • Hey, it's Alice Conkrite! I'm sure I spelled her last name wrong, please correct me...She's in my montage! She was one of big winner!

  • Conkright.

  • Whatever became of Jim Perry?

  • He's retired and he lives in North Carolina.

  • This show was great. Jim Perry was great.

  • I've never seen this show... what happens if she rejects the trip? I take it theres a bigger prize to be won or what? Anyone give me a description of the game? :)

  • The winner of the episode can use their money to buy a bigger prize; or win consecutive games to buy massive prizes like week-long trips, a luxury car or all the prizes and a massive cash jackpot. (Alice was playing for $59,000 in prizes and $77,000 in cash on this episode.)

  • lmfao

  • "If I had offered Alice $19,200....$19,300..." LOL!

  • "If we got you guys to spell "cat" along with that, we would've been in trouble." LOL!

  • Yeah, she could have bought a trip to fabulous Maah=!

  • Alice Conkwright...the woman who broke Jim Perry's heart. <:'-(

  • too funny!

  • yes it was!

  • meaning the revival, in fact i think it's premiering in a little under an hour

  • who else (besides me) thinks that "temptation" looks like it's going to be 1 hell of a letdown?

  • Me.

  • This is no place for anti-semitic comments, thank you very much.

  • Oh,Come on! She sure as hell should have spent the money! A trip to Hawaii AND $500 for $17 & she still would have had a $28 lead, she's nuts!

  • But she did win the lot in six appearances, something no other champion did. And please do not equate Judaism with stinginess, that's an unfortunate stereotype we have been trying to fight.

  • these are the type of classic game shows The Game Show network should be airing instead of that new crap they have on and four versions of The Family Feud! Whoever is programming that network should be fired.

  • agreed. Do we really need all 4 versions of the family fued? Do we really need the new to tell the truth and Whammy. Seriously Who Wants To Be A Millionaire isnt even fun to watch anymore because you know the person isnt even going to win. Give us back our CLASSIC gameshows. :(

  • My thoughts exactly! I thought I was the only one who thought this.....

  • I even remember on one of her later episodes, Jim got on his knees again, and when she refused the Instant Bargain, he fainted.

  • always a fan of this show - glad they used hunky male models alongside the standard bevy of (female) beauties

  • F*** you, Alice Conkright! I could kick your pussy ass any day of the week!

  • What a tightfisted BITCH!

  • Oh, Jim wasn't REALLY crying. At least I don't THINK so.

  • Jim even got down on his knees a couple of times, as if he were BEGGING Alice to buy SOMETHING. It was hilarious! It's still fresh in my mind to this day.

  • what was this broad drinking?

  • This was a great show with a fantastic host in Jim Perry.

  • Jim Perry walked away crying. That's funny!
