@Rustynail580 2 things- There is a lvl 50 bracket now so thats not an issue.  Also, when you join a match, all of your stats, gear, and weapon damage are all increased to the damage and stats you would have at lvl 49. Hope this helps.

Hey Rhiraden. I noticed that a lot of the higher level PvP gear (Battlemaster, Champion Gear) Trade away Crit rating for Power. Is this the necessary trade off for PvP? I thought shadows rely heavily on Crit Rating being we are mostly burst DPS?

@Zerodin11 A very well deserved nerf considering they did way more damage than this. Even now they still hit harder than us and can burst better while still having much better and easy to use utility.

We wear light armor and in shadow technique have no armor boosting stuff so we're easier to take down than scoundrels and have no way to heal ourselves other than medpacs, can't attack further than 10m unless we use our valuable force potency on a crap ability for us in telekinetic throw..

Powerr, I have seen some terribad Battlemaster Assassins/Shadows, standing in front of people instead of behind them and not doing any form of movement. I also see some terrible specs that take the 30% armor rating and considers infiltration tactics and misdirection as "filler." They just happen to have almost 700 Expertise so it's not so noticable.

@robvya I don't get how people don't get this, but backloading the damage allows you to get a Force Breach in at almost the same exact time that your project hits, allowing for massive burst.

This is especially true with the upheaval spec when you get an upheaval proc... I hope if they "fix" this that they just delay the animation on assassins instead of screwing us and making ours instant like theirs is.

If anything try and spread it around that it's a good thing so Bioware doesn't take one of the things that makes us awesome away. The delay on the animation allows us to load all our damage in a much smaller window so it's easier to overwhelm healers.

Love the damage this guy does. It's so fkin higher than what my ops can do, yet apparently we need a nerd because we can kill people (in their imagination) under the duration of the stun!

Let's see, by looking at this video I've learned that Assassins/Shadow can do more burst damage and they do NOT require any stealth or positioning behind the target to do so!

you are comparing yourself to arguably the best shadow in the game with full BM gear, of course he does more damage. find another video not made by this guy of shadows stomping people, you might find 2 more good players. yet there are dozens and dozens of OP/sc videos of people at LOW skill level in little or NO gear demolishing other players. if, as an op, you are not getting them below 40% within the stun, they either outgear you or blew trinket. how do you not see the difference?

I fail to see the logic.

I agree that the opening strike (Hidden Strike or Scoundrel equivalent) should be nerfed in terms of original damage since it is pretty high, but keep in mind that there is a 5k+ damage in one strike medal, so it shouldnt be nerfed below that.

But the stun should never be nerfed since we have no way to catch up to a player, we NEED a stun or an immobilize to do our damage without being kited by a backpedaling moron where we can't backstab!

@alexzanderow yor missed the point. the community is mad that OPs in virtually crap gear can take down the vast majority of players (centurian geared classes) within seconds. no class, burst or not, should be dropping other classes in seconds without some kind of major gear advantage on them. you have tendon blast for the backpedaler. burst is fine. killing people out of stealth before they can get back up (or taking them to a point of no return) is not ok on an equal geared playing field.

Thats why i stopped playing my assassine (lvl50 full epic pv gear, too) its such a mindless playstyle. mashing 2 buttons over and over again. same as tank assassine. thought this calss would be a real stealth class, but stealth actually does nothing, just the force regen after stealth break, nothing more. forget about spike, its a waste of force. only useful as a tank where you can use it out of stealth.

This has to be one of the most mindless rotations in game. You hit the twirly lightsaber move twice then Project for big numbers. People say Operatives are easy mode but at least I have to manage 4 damage abilities on different cooldowns with gating.

@GergJG The rotation also involves mauling when you get the reduced force cost and discharging at 5 stacks of +6% discharge damage. The reason that people think operatives are easy is because they can stun you and do rediculous damage to you while stunned that you can't do anything about. I personally usually kill operatives though as an assassin cause they tend to suck after the stun/burst.

Hey dude great video.Gotta question I play an assassin pretty much the same build as you except dark side.So I know you are using what we call Voltaic Slash (hits target 2, front attack, top of your tree) you use it 2x to build up good discharge.Then you do your rock attack what would be I guess our Shock, instant dmg. However I notice that you somehow chain these instantly in one big attack instantly 5k, 4k, and 2k hit at the same time. How do you get your discharge / shock chained instantly?

@Rhiraden Well to be fair the Biochem nerf doesn't affect damage in any way. It only affected the heal from the Rakata Medpac. If you meant the Expertise buff stacking then yeah, that would mean your crits won't be as high. But still it does great damage even now.
