@todoxe I know Michi,... fyi he's not an idiot. He's passionate about flying and like most excellent acro's (which he is) he likes to 'push the envelope'.

I suspect deploying the res so low was more about the 'WOW' factor and less of a survival mission.

I could be wrong.

I would have pumped the right brake a little and it would have come out for sure, rather than throw the reserve with all the repacking involved etc.

Very low to be doing tumbles and he almost paid the price. That was a 10 second canopy ride after he was open, meaning he was at most two seconds and change from going in. Great audio of the deployment :-)
