This just happened to me today. My sim cannon-balled into his backyard pool, but then suddenly he was out of the pool again, as if he had never dived in! However, bubbles were coming out of his butt, but there was also some ripples effect around his neck and smaller bubbles from his wrists and ankels. It doesn't seem to affect gameplay, but it sure is funny to watch.
