  • Looks like Dorothy from Golden Girls on guitar.

  • I'd do anything to see this... *.*

  • Too many fuckheads to respond to, but I will try. No one is a bigger Led Zeppelin fan than me.They chose Jason Bonham is because they know him well, hell, they can basically be considered Jason's uncles. I understand the reasoning behind Jason being asked to do it, but if Jones, Page, and Plant were serious about getting "back together" than David Grohl would be a better choice on drums. He is far superior than Jason. I own a copy of that 07' show, and I like it, but that wasn't Led Zeppelin!

  • @WEBERisAbadCOACH Enough with the arguing! You've made your point; move on.

  • @Musicalbeds69 I didn't start the arguement, nor did I start with the name calling.

  • what i would've done to see the complete led zep live with bonzo i wish i could give the life in me to bonzo so he could dominate again

  • Jason did a great job. Lord, Plant, why didn't you give us a tour? We bought your albums, your eight-tracks, your cds, your dvds...I saw you with Page twice...I DESERVED A TOUR!!!! MUCH MORE RELEVANT THAN SINGING WITH ALISON KRAUS!!! Jesus, Plant!!!

  • @1105Chance I respect his decision not to tour more than I respect the opinion "we deserve a tour" & not because I saw this show. Did you read the interview's where Plant discussed his prep for the show? He stayed at home, sitting around trying not to speak, drinking herbal tea & the like to sooth his throat. He was a hermit. I wouldn't sentence him to that for weeks on end. He can't wail like a banshee anymore, & that's part of Zeppelin. Unlike many he knows when to say goodbye,I respect that.

  • @Musicalbeds69 blah blah blah.

  • @Musicalbeds69 well said. i also respect plant's decision not to tour since he knows he doesn't have the range to handle zep songs faithfully anymore. it's rare to find a singer that will know when to call it quits and not tarnish their legacy. still hoping for a page/JPJ/jason bonham project or at least an official dvd release of this concert.

  • @Musicalbeds69 That's actually not true. He's still doing Zep songs with Band of Joy. He sang just fine at O2. There were many years when he was travelling solo that he did Zep songs, and I heard all of that nonsense that he couldn't sing like he once could many times before and it was rot. Plant always criticized Daltrey and the Stones for continuing to play (often to the point of insult) when in reality I respect THEM for their dedication and respect for their fans. We can have opinions still!

  • @1105Chance First off, Jason did not do a "GREAT" job like you state. David Grohl would be a better choice. "YOU"/"WE" don't deserve anything. Do you honestly believe if they toured you would be witnessing Led Zeppelin? Your delusional if you think so. Led Zeppelin died, unfortunately, with the death of John Bonham. Go out and purchase some bootlegs if you want to hear live Led Zeppelin!

  • @WEBERisAbadCOACH Oh bugger off. I have my bootlegs. I was just speaking tongue in cheek. I would say that I trust Plant and Page's opinion over Jason Bonham compared to your's. I don't know who you think u are you pretentious and angry twat but you are nobody to be criticizing Bonham. Secondly, people loved them at 02 and it would have been nice to have that opportunity in this country as well.

  • @1105Chance Enough with the arguing!

  • @WEBERisAbadCOACH Lastly you arrogant twat, Robert Plant cryptically hinted at various times throughout the years that they may reunite and tour. During each period where it was being considered, he would go from denying it to playing coy. Lastly, I don't give a rat's ass about your fucking opinion mate, so bugger off! You take yourself far too seriously.

  • @1105Chance You obviously care about my opinion otherwise you wouldn't have responded punk!

  • @WEBERisAbadCOACH Enough with the arguing!

  • @1105Chance Enough with the arguing!

  • @WEBERisAbadCOACH LMAO. Plant/Page used Jason Bonham on more than one occassion and they speak really well of him, and the critics spoke well. Who the F are you to say he didn't do a great job and what kind of neurotic head case are you to say who should and should not be the best choice. I think that's THEIR choice, not yours so if anyone's overstating their bounds, it's u with your dumb ass comments.

  • @1105Chance Because it's my opinion asshole. People are entitled to their own opinions aren't they fuckhead? "Overstating my bounds?" Your a fucking moron!

  • @WEBERisAbadCOACH Enough with the arguing!

  • @1105Chance Enough with the arguing!

  • @WEBERisAbadCOACH And I've listened to Zep since the early 70s. I remember the day Bonham died. I don't need you to lecture me like some purist. I saw them at Live Aid, I saw both Plant/Page tours and the Plant/Page tours kicked ass with or without Bonham and Jones. It may not have been the same, but both tours kicked ass. Page was also good with the Black Crowes. One could experience the Who without Keith Moon and the same is true with Bonham, though certainly it is obviously different. DUH!

  • "David Grohl would be a better choice" I guess Jimmy Page and Robert Plant just aren't as smart as you to decide who they want to be their drummer. I also notice that everyone who has posted that was lucky enough to be there loved the show. You are the only person that has made any bad remark about Jason Bonham. I've heard Jimmy Page TOTALLY CONTRADICT YOU IN INTERVIEWS RIGHT HERE ON YOUTUBE. MONG!!

  • @WEBERisAbadCOACH Enough with the arguing!

  • Did security give you guys any trouble using recording devices?

  • @shawnbrennan1 I didn't have a problem, but I was using a cheaper camera...hence the crappy sound, lol....so that could be why. Still, there's quite a few bootlegs from decent video cameras, so I figure my experience was common, no matter what you were using.

  • It was a great gig, the thing I remember most was JPJ's sonic boom from his bass during dazed and confused, it was making my jeans vibrate....no shit.....I seen tickets change hands for funny money!.......was so glad to have seen them.

  • @sidious1977 It was great, wasn't it? The vibe from the crowd was incredible, everyone so psyched. I was close to the stage..floors were general admission....but I moved back about a third of a way through the show, or at the halfway point, so others could get a chance to get up close. No matter where I was, EVERYONE was having a blast.

  • Epic, i like the down tuning, makes it even harder!

  • Funny though robert plant said never to sing this again, after his car accedent in greece.

  • @wildbrewband1 Don't spam my comment section.

  • This song kicks ass live. It's like the studio version and every single live version I've ever heard aren't even the same song.

  • it feels like if John Bonham revived, his son is just as brilliant, led zeppelin flew once again

  • Anybody know why his Dan Electro wasn't used?? I don't think he used it on any songs...

  • expect a dvd/blu-ray release in Autumn 2011, go to the official Led Zeppelin webiste forums...the proof is there!

  • I thought this was the first time they'd played In My Time on stage, but I see they played it in 1975 when Physical was first released. Cool.

    grazie

  • Goddam, goddam, goddam, this is insane !! ROBERT PLANT GIT BACK IN THE ZEP AND GIVE US A TOUR ! Bonham Jr., Page and Paul Jones are waiting !

  • jasons drumming power destoryed the camera

  • why didnt they make a dvd of the gig????

  • The GODS THEMSELVES ON MONS OLYMPUS!!

  • do's anyone out there have info regarding Jimmy's choice of guitar's (at this show)?.

  • You're so lucky!

  • Why does jas sound like hes been playing metal for the past year?

  • i want that guitar i love p-90s

  • what gibson model is that?

  • @steffsweet45 ES-350t

  • @MATTBOESSE thanks

  • it's like goign to see king kong in chains in the heart of the skyscrapers of new york city, or like flying over a olcano erupting. or like the grand canyon. they're artists.

  • Sure, sound is dicey with the drums overloading the microphone but that groove! I bet this was amazing if you were there

  • That guitar sounds so raw, I love it!

  • haha I saw that right after i watched this.

  • I didt think they would ever do this song again, after plants car crash they never did it live....

  • Hahahahahaha, chceck out setlist from US 77 tour...

  • @SweeperMelis sounds like its the recording and not actually bad drumming

  • its beacuse the drumming is soo loud it distorts the mic in this camera/phone.

    its not bad drums

  • Led Zeppelin - Way more powerful than your Sony Ericsson

  • the book "When Giants Walked the Earth",

heroin and 14 years old girls lovers,

  • Your dad will be proud Jas

  • This is amazing we need a DVD/CD please lord please!

  • there is one! look it up.

  • @Alhambrattp Quote from a very respectable accurate Zeppelin source "Backstage at the Beacon Theatre in New York Sunday night Robert Plant mentioned he spoke with Jimmy Page on Friday and that a commercial release of the 02 reunion gig is being finalized."

  • @zachmcfatridge Does it take 5 years????

  • @Alhambrattp when your Jimmy Page it does :)

  • no danelectro jimmy?

  • That wasn't a Danelectro, it was a Silvertone. Easy to confuse because they both have lipstick pickups.

  • its the same company and the model is a danelecrtro 59dc

    look it up

  • Yep, Danelectro. I stand corrected.

  • I think they'll put out the DVD eventually - but you know Jimmy will be going through it with a fine tooth comb to get it perfect and will take forever lol!

  • Yep! just like THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME movie was filmed in 1973 and wasn't released untill 1976 I think.

  • yep.. 3 years.... it was in 2007...so ...

    2010 dvd out?????

i would sell my house to get this dvd..

  • i wouldnt go that far...

    be serious

  • I think it was 1977..

  • 4 years??

    so...2011 dvd out..

    looll

    :P~~

  • Thank you!

  • I wish they put it on a dvd..

    Damn, This band is awessome!!!

  • note the guy at 49-52 sec with joint in front of camera. LZ concerts usually looked like a smoke bomb went off. Incredible geniuses, ahead of their time.

  • lol i would have smoked to

  • You will carry this special memory for the rest of your days no doubt.

    Thanks for posting.

  • omg that is is soooo cool...you are very lucky to have seen that! :)

  • how much did you pay for your tickets?

  • I received an email that allowed me to purchase a ticket at face value of $250 US, roughly. It was 125 british pounds.

  • @jimmyp73 i payed the same..standard rate for the tickets

  • dude you had awsome seats!!!

  • It was general admission on the floors, and I was by myself so it was easy to get to a good spot without any trouble.

  • The Sound is horrible

  • Yep, it was made with a digital camera,

  • I miss the Danelectro!!

  • Stormy mayday - ACDC?

  • thats whats every one is saying idk ask angus

  • Cool! Thank you.

  • yea i want page's email address too lol. who doesnt. i love this musical assault.

  • it's wiping the floor with my mind dude

  • i was there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! = D

  • It was a once in a lifetime thing, eh? The vibes in the O2 were unreal, you could cut the anticipation with a knife. You could feel the joy on stage and in the audience..it was palpable. Electric doesn't describe it enough...

  • This si an incredible song, love Led zeppelin

  • jimmy looks good with white hair. everytime i realize that jimmy page lives on the same earth as i do, i get all tingly. i must find his email address.

  • If I was at this concert, i would commit suidide right after the concert. Because life would be complete if i saw Led Zeppelin live.

  • yeah that's exactly how i feel.

  • Jimmy made some haunting sounds during this song

  • Jimmy has got me on my knees once again. How can you not worship this man?Love the white hair.

  • Definitely not the same as the Dano but still as amazing as ever.

  • Jimmy's hair is glowing like he's an angel.

  • He is an angel! lol

  • he's not an angel, he's more of God sent down to play like a machine (not taking away any of his skill, he is the best, but he plays just as fast as a robot would.

  • That's not an angel, that's a sign over his head that means ROCK GOD....

  • I think he sounds better now than he did back in 77. He was kind of sloppy then. Age doesnt matter!! Love it!!

  • he was only sloppy in 77 because of all the heroin

  • I don't agree his playing suffered because of his "self-medication". Page was more interested in feeling than precision, which sometimes made him sloppy but also allowed him to create awesome improvisations.

  • Ted Nugent never did any drugs, his chops are lame and the worst part of all his songs really suck. I don't see Jimmy Page hawking deer urine on his videos and trying to sell his autograph for $20 out of the back of a van...

  • nugent is good stfu

  • Its not so much about sloppyness, just style.

  • how dare you

  • i love this amazing song!!please dvd!!!

  • He's playing a G-400 if I'm not mistaken. Isn't this suppossed to get a DVD release? man I hope so.

  • I believe it will be on DVD at some point

  • Oh no, all filming of this show prohibited, in other words, it was wasted !

  • what do you mean?

  • UNAUTHORISED filming yes...

but this will get a future dvd release for sure

    classic rock said so :P

    so... FINGERS CROSSED!

  • He's playing a Gibson ES 350T and it's a Custom Shop reissue of a guitar Gibson made around 1956 - Chuck Berry used one on his early hits - I know Jimmy's a Chuck Berry fan, so it makes sense.

Wished i'd been there to see that gig..

  • damn, aging sucks... But his playing sure doesn't, as he's off heroin, I'd go as far to say that his playing is better now than it was in '77-on... But I REALLY miss that Dano 3021

  • one of the greats that make led zep a kick ass band!

  • no danelectro?? still kicks major ass

  • gibson

  • yeah led zeppelin IS a life saver.

  • That was great- smae its not full length. Jimi can really make a guitar sing!

  • haha jimmy's back

  • if thats true thats kick ass

  • I love this song,it's the song I almost died to.I crashed years go in 1988 while this was STILL playing on my casstte deck after having flipped my truck over 3 times in a row!

  • damn...at least you can say zeppelin saved your life =D

  • you know, i'm sorry about that....but that was a really cool story and coincidence!

  • dude thats creepy

  • I want this played at my funeral party..

  • Get some!

  • woo-hooo

    tnx!
