@Corey6496 you can buy it from a chemical store, but you need to have a company or something like that, or you can easily make it from bleach - try and search for making potassium chlorate
@obeyyourmaster666 You mean I can mix bleach with the sugar and then ignite it? Or do I have to mix bleach and a different particle to make the potassium chlorate?
@Corey6496 Not at all, you must first boil down the bleach than get potassium chlorate from it by adding saturated solution of potassium chloride and than dry the precipitated potassium chloride. Only dried substance mixed with sugar will ignite.
This is a question I have actually wondered for a long time: Can potassium chlorate start burning when ignited with a flame or a torch instead of sulfuric acid? In this case, did you use the acid or just regular everyday fire? Match heads have potassium chlorate in them, in case you didn't know that already.
yeah, mixture of potassium chlorate and sugar can be ignited with a regular fire, however, if there is higher amount of sugar, as in my video, it takes quite an effort to ignite it. and yeah, match heads do have the same compound in them, in addition to some compunds that can be burnt by it. this is then ignited by the burning vapours of white phosphorus formed by the friction of the match head and the red phosphorus on the striking surface.
dissolve both in water, then soak blotting paper or similar in the solution. Dry the paper. With this paper you can make rockets by packing it into a tube or bangers by taping a whole lot of it together and use a lenth of the paper as a fuse.
Ha Ha. Potassium chlorate, and wax, vaseline, white gasoline is like kids play compared to C-4. C-4 is top of the line, and nothing compares, and it is RDX based, not potassium chlorate.
You used wrong proportions, use KClO3/sugar in 7/3 (by mass). This mixture will burn A LOT MORE rapidly. Do not mix with mortar and pestle. But grind the two chemicals in to fine powders and screen then them together. Keep the grinding materials clean of acid, chemicals this will reduce the chance of accidential ignition.
May I ask you a question? Where do people even get potassium chlorate from?

will it work with kclo4?

@Nikoz7Makaveli yeah, it should.. even better

@obeyyourmaster666 okeey same compositions?
Nikoz7Makaveli 2 years ago
yeah, it should.. but add little less kclo4
obeyyourmaster666 2 years ago
um...no. perchlorate is not as reactive as KClO3 it just doesn't give up the oxygen as well. It has a reactivity of 3 out of 4.

This was interesting, haha

This looks more similar to the reaction of Sugar and Sulfuric Acid.

we made this with 70 30 ratio at school and we ignited it with H2SO4 it took 1 drop and the whole thing went whoosh
zumazuma109 2 years ago
yeah, but this mixture can't be ignited with H2S04 since there is a smaller amount of KClO3

I know that when i mix it in this ratio it burns much faster.. The purpose of this ratio was to slow it down so the snake is is larger.
obeyyourmaster666 2 years ago
So what are your ratios??? I've tried, but mine isn't like yours...
Dexter2486 2 years ago
the ratio is: 85% sugar on 15% potassium chlorate

No, what you just described is a plastic explosive filler. Used in grenades and such.

Seems like it was struggling to burn, needs more potassium chlorate, then the shit will really burn!!!! I experimented with this in grade school.

White gasoline is like the stuff you use for old style lanterns.
