Is it just me or does anyone else suspect that Brooker put Mitchell and Coren on a lot of his shows together to get them to start dating? The timing kind of works.
the laughter certainly does sound horrible. i thought it was canned it onsets very organised and together far 2 quickly. its puttin me on edge like being in the company of the over-polite
You know, about the whole audience comedy thing.. it's raised in every video with laughter in it these days. There are sections of the comedy consuming community who I think are in danger of being irritated simply by the sound of human laughter.
What next? Do we start stripping the laughter audio from recordings of stand-up shows?
I think it's a dark path y'all're creating with your adherence to a misinterpretation. Audiences are good - they inform performance, at their most basic level.
@tekqist28 because it's a radio show, and radio has artistic merit in it's own right. In comedy I'd say radio, especially radio 4 and radio 7 are far better value for money than their TV counterparts.
@tekqist28 there are a lot of radio panel shows that are great like Just A Minute that you'd think why not make it on TV but i guess some programs are written that way. besides it adds variety to entertainment and it encourages imagination of some sort.
does these toss-bags all have the same agent that they keep appearing in a round robin of shows where one presents while the other features? not that I'm a bitter barstard cos i love them all, but.. you know
I can't believe how bad the audience laughter makes this program. It is so loud it's difficult to concentrate on what anyone is saying. Total disappointment! Could have been so good...
Producers should try releasing a version without audience laughter/cheering to see which listeners prefer.
It's brilliant, but would they stop it with the constant fake laughter. I love Charlie Brooker and co. but it's so obvious that they aren't genuinely laughting.
Brooker IS the white Laurence Fishburne.

@krazystacy1004 As with most radio comedy programmes it is recorded with an audience. So the laughters not canned.
Mark251288 1 year ago 17
@Mark251288 I think @krazystacy1004 means that they're faking their laughs, not that it's canned laughter, but that they're not being genuine
