Everyone out here saying that softball isn't hard, get over yourselves&quit whining. you have your sport and we have ours. i cant even count how many times i have argued about this with people. Boys, softball isnt as easy as you think it is. it's harder for our pitchers to pitch, its harder to hit it farther, and it's overall just a harder sport. none of you could do half as good as this girl did. like everyone else said, its alot easier to throw a baseball. so once again, get over yourselves.

Its easier to throw a baseball then a softball. and the field is shorter because how big the ball is! Softballs harder then baseball! The mound in softball is shorter, so when your up to bat you have less time to think then you do in baseball!

@micaelaily you forgot the average highschool pitcher throws 75-90 when the highest softball picth velocity ive seen is 60 so think who has more reaction time.... also the softball is larger and a easier target

@dyepaintballer27 Actually the average speed for MY school is 75. Also girls have more pitches to throw, they go up,down,left,right, and spin.So obviously u haven't done your research. Its easier to get a runner out in baseball, I mean u guys have like 20 extra feet in the baseline and girls run faster then girls. Aha go do some research and get your facts straight before you start trying to diss a sport that's harder then yours anyway. And if you don't like softball, then why r u looking it up?

@sarahjanexoxo17 ok, you dont have any more pitches then in baseball... you havent stated one fact, your going off of your opinion. ummm if your girls are hitting 75 in highschool i expect to see them all in the pros because after watching college and pro games i have rarely seen them pitch that fast. Also girls arent faster then guys, maybe a select few can run but not many are outting up 6.4 60's. also guys have a lead softball does not which means catchers in baseball has just as little time

@CuInEternity do you have any knowledge of how to throw? its going to be a bit rainbowish if 1) she is throwing from her knees and 2) she is 13...her release point is pretty close to where it should be. the way for her to not have it rainbowish is if she gets stronger.

I've been catching for eight years, and I have to say for a 12u she is exponentially good! Most catchers can't even throw standing up, so you should be proud of yourself. The only thing I have to say is work on the hand to mit, it really helps when you're trying to knock of time. I bet you've gotten better since 09 though. good luck!

@danifreakadora this girl on my team named Jenna shes 10 and shes catcher and she can throw hard it almost goes into centerfield
