  • still so baroque ! :) great achievement!

  • i really like this piece, the baroque spirit is so evident

  • @dreuxschwartz I'm very pleased that you do. Thank you for you comment and continued interest in my music :-).

  • I've noticed that your compositions tend to lean towards the French Baroque style, yes? My compositions (mostly concertos) are usually in the Italian Style, though I've recently tried to tackle German Baroque (in Bach's style, mostly) and French Baroque.

  • Thanks so much for your comment, Bryan! I try to compose in various styles, and the 'Suite a tre voci' was intended to lean towards the French style. I am glad that it actually does sound French!

Thanks again for your comment and take care!

  • Amazing "realistic"!

  • Thanks, Andrei! I try my best to make it sound at least a little realistic, so it's good to know that my efforts make a difference. Thanks again!

  • Very well done! your Orcestral music is amazing! Very well writteni drove to work humming this tune. It's amazing!

  • What a wonderful thought that someone far away was humming a tune that I had written! ;-)

Thanks very much for your comment!

  • sounds in B major. am i right?

  • Thanks!

It's in C major. My intention was to hint at the French baroque style, so I am glad that it was successful ;-).

The recording was done using MIDI, but I tried to make it sound, at the very least, a little musical by tweaking some of the articulation and rhythm. If it sounds even a little like real musicians, then I think I must have done something right . . . hehe. The samples also play a role, of course.

Thanks for your vote of approval!

  • I forgot to mention: the recording uses a common pitch of the Baroque era (about a′ = 415), which is close to a semitone below modern day concert pitch (a′ = 440), so if you were to play it by ear, it would sound as if the key is B major.

  • yep. the baroque pitch.

  • One of the Baroque pitches, yes. The pitch of a' = 415 is one that today's Baroque performers have agreed upon for convenience. It is close to a common pitch used in Germany at the beginning of the 18th century, but certainly not the only pitch used at that time.

  • i like it. yes.

  • wow! is this in MIDI? or played by real musicians?

very beautiful composition! sounds french baroque for me! 5 stars.
