  • Wow look cool but then the tuition is gonna be a turn off what like 50-100,000 to go there?

I'd rather have that money to go towards making jobs in our economy as it is right now.

  • No matter what is said about where the money comes from to fund it, this shit is cool. The debt crises was caused by "us". The fat, braindead consumers of this fine nation of ours. Us. U.S. We let "them" do it to "us". We buy thier shit. Weather it is the shit we by from monsters like walmart or McDonald's or the shit they sell us at election from some podium. We all know they are crooked yet we go along for the ride everytime. Fuck the police...Yee.

  • First thing that came to my mind when I saw this... The Tellytubbies

  • This is great for farming.

  • what a cute girl, mmmm

  • Good for farming weed

  • @YosefSkato weed is bad for you

  • its interesting but god ugly...

  • That'ssssss a lovely mussssseum you have there.

  • that place was awesome! Money well spent :) it's refreshing to know people out there who have brains...i live in USA, particularly california...so it's a big refreshement

  • That place was sssssoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo boring

  • What is this

  • Why am I thinking about Hobbits and Hobbit holes?

  • I'd hate to see the tuition bill to go to this academy.

  • Wired Science, its just a science, nothing wierd in that, only thing wired is the voice of the grl...

  • Waste of Money

  • Thats a weird kitchen, but a kitchen is a kitchen.

  • @Sickling3 HAHAHA!

  • What's the song that starts at 1:04???

I did it again, so I'mma let the beat drop

    Oh my

Baby, let me love you down

There's so many ways to love you

Baby, I can break you down

There's so many ways to love you......., i love science and you..oh oh oooo

  • @me1anxiety You're not entertaining

  • @y3ko86 ...okay

  • Hobbit hill of the future!

  • Why are the two Tom Comments about teletubbies and a woman's appearance? Grow up, people. Very fascinating building, what I would give to go and visit!

  • @laxgurl271 Growing up is not synonymous with losing one's sense of humor. The appearance comment is immature sure, but what's wrong with the other one?

  • Beautiful building:) And please ignore the trolls people.

  • i thought it said weird...nvm im out

  • Great remember I was here.Thai 5:59PM 1/9/2012

  • waste of money

  • Wtf. Taxes pay for this giant greenwashing bullshit to make fancy windows?! And 10% of the energy you produce. Big fucking deal. How about you stfu, eat a steak, grow up, and realize that bullshit you learned in a state-funded college with liberal union professors isn't real science. For 10% of the short and long-term costs of this you could've built steel structures. Shame on you for wasting our tax money on this pretentious crap.

  • @mechmusician Anything can be science. Are you stupid?

  • @Bluebird22200 Wrong. Politicized propagandist alarmist bullshit perpetuated by politicians begging for attention embodied in a tax-payer funded pretentious waste of building materials is not science. In other words, this building is meaningless. Anthropogenic global climate change is impossible outside of a nuclear winter. There is no reason to waste my money that you took by force by taxes on this bullshit. Rip this piece of shit down, scrap it, and give me a tax refund.

  • @Bluebird22200 Are you studying douchebagoligy? You must be majoring in it. Major douchebag. I'm awsesome.

  • @mechmusician Dear asshole, this is real science. The mathematics and engineering are as real as you shitty attitude. Science isn't required to agree with your politics to be valid. In the very beginning the young states that the hills are experiments in and of themselves, clearly an ongoing project. Research aend development are always expensive but it is why fucktards, like you, can post asinine comments on youtube. So, have a side of baby dicks with your steak and drop dead.

  • @kallistiX1 So you think using taxpayer money, which is taken by an argument that ends with a gun, for this shit that could've been done 10x cheaper and better is alright? Fuck you. Really. We have a national debt crisis and you want to waste my money on this bullshit? Shame on you. And lastly, it's not the government's job to be funding R&D of any kind unless it's for the military, whose job it is to defend us, which is the purpose of govt. This is a blatant example of tax waste and robbery.

  • @mechmusician Waste? It's hard to see the big picture with your head all the way up there like that isn't it? The purpose of the Gov't is to protect us? Wow. You are stupid. Yeah. Fuck flowers and oxygen. We need more guns and politicians!

  • @thedude1347 Taxes are taken by force. All tax forms have the implicit threat of violence should you disobey. The only just use of those funds are to protect those who pay. Everything else is up to the free market. That's what freedom is. This is venture socialism at worst, green-washing at best. This has Solyndra written all over it.

And even if you don't agree with that. WE HAVE A DEBT CRISIS!!! Forget the scalpul with the budget. Break out the chainsaw and hack this shit out.

  • @mechmusician Was this crisis caused by Biological research funding?

  • @thedude1347 Actually the purpose of the government is to protect us, this could easily be privately funded.

  • @mechmusician Stupid? I didn't claim that this wasn't science because it cost money. Unlike you, I'm not some fucking moron that thinks I can pick an choose my FACTS because I don't like the political implications. You want to get your panties tied in a knot because you have to pay taxes, fine. But it will be a cold in hell when you goose-stepping deniers start telling me what SCIENCE is. And, lastly the government has been funding non-military R&D for DECADES you ignorant twat.

  • @mechmusician It's not pretentious but a great idea. Maybe you're the pretentious crap ?

  • a wacky expensive window design, not level. companies steal billions of dollars per day for fake projects, to keep us from having life support services. they do not put even 1 load of dirt under house sites to keep them dry. all plants and dirt should be separated by 10 feet from any structure, using a cover like asphalt. millions of people deteriorate and die from microbes in bad water, landscaping dirt, animal feces, & moldy wooden houses with defective roofs. - james mcashan for the US Senate

  • this cat is drunk!

    (fully aware of real issue)

  • awesome video..thanks for sharing .. keep it up!

  • Fabulous ideas that can eventually be utilized for many types of buildings ... including 'Hobbit' houses. Twisters would pass right over 'Hobbit' houses, and heating and cooling dramatically reduced. They can be made real cute too. Any doubt check out Bilbo Baggins place in Lord of the Rings. Love it!

  • Watch the video," organic architecture Suncrest Cottage".

  • i like TURTLEZ

  • thats one tricked out roof

  • ...cool

  • i fapped

  • Everything inside is cool but the whole engineering aspect of this is quite impressive to me.

  • ive been there a bunch of times, its pretty cool

  • @galenator123 me too. the first time i loved it, but having been there so many times, it got kinda boring after a while. i've gone on SO many field trips there. i think we're going again this year lol

  • lolz tellytubbies

  • She is hotter than science and global warming

  • lol good one

  • no she isnt shut up

  • @howlingpunkin she is a fine slut

  • science is cool, not hot :P

  • @howlingpunkin Are you kidding me, shes nasty

  • Living roofs are measured at 30 degrees lower on hot California summer days! That is a low tech solution available today even without all the hills and valleys that give this Academy free "cold sinks" that allow them to dispense with air conditioning altogether. This pays off today, not someday in the future. Air conditioning costs a fortune.

  • Lol that's where teletubies live

  • @Paumonsu why you wach the show

  • lol, only 10%

  • Well, it is a huge museum with serious energy needs, and the solar cells only cover part of the roof - most of the roof is supporing vegetation. It kinda makes sense.

  • Did she say there is a solar cell in a can of pee?

  • Owch. Bad Pun, bad pun. No soup for you.

  • i watched a show were they built that place. its so cool.

  • that is some sick shit.. pretty crazy. one of the reasons why i love science is cause of these kinds of things.

  • PRIDE =D

  • awesome!!

  • um, crazy? I'm usually all for science and cool architecture, but .....? lol Wonder what that piece of junk cost. lol

  • That building uses quite a bit LESS energy than the previous complex. If you listen to the video, you will hear her say that the building uses NO air conditioning, and the photocells produce a significant portion of the electricity it does require.

That building may have cost a lot, but it will pay for itself in just a few years.

  • I bet it won't, you might not have to pay air conditioning, but conditioning costs I bet where they are are minimal anyway. Now you have to pay for constant gardening and maitenance on your roof? Rediculous.

  • Agree. It won't pay off, but it's experimental anyway. In time, i predict, there will be cheap and self-sustained buildings, as it is the only way to save this planet and us at the same time.

  • THIRD ZOMG!!!!!

  • second

  • What exactly did you gain from being first?

  • This video is repost, sorry.
