It would be an insalt to have to have someone else install my system. I would never go their. And I wouldn't put my amp on the seat where everyone can see it. It needs to be hidden, he's putting it their so someone can and steel it and so the customer can come back and pay for another one. FUCK'N CORPRATE GREED.!
2:17-2:20, did he meant that you put a fuse into the correct spot in the car fuse box located under the hood?? i thought the inline fuse is enough to protect the circuit already.
Someone could help me out. I dont know what fuse to buy for my amp.. and I need help with the order of the connecting cables to the battery after of before putting the fuse on the fuse holder?
wow, he mounted the box to the back of the fold down seats, so now you cant just fold down one seat if you want, you have to fold them both down. FAIL.
thats a clean install... I had futureshop do my install... it was middle of winter and I didnt want to freeze my ass off in the garage.. they did a good job
I have a 02 honda civic lx 2dr. coupe with an alarm system and I am trying to install 400 watt amp w/ subwoofer by using 1000 watts w/ 8 guage power. Will it work.
why do you earth the amp to the car and not connect it to the negative battery terminal? is the car connected to the negative terminal and its just a standard for making wiring more easy?
Your cars battery will have a few cables running from the negative terminal to various places, one of those places will be the cars chassis. It makes it much easier for car manufacturers to get a good ground point for all the electrical components in your car, as well as reducing wiring clutter. Some cars have it the other way around, and have the positive terminal connected to the chassis, but it is VERY rare. I'm amazed they didn't recomend disconnecting the battery while working too.
would like to also mention that the fuse should be put in last after everything is connected, the fuse holder can be installed but the actual fuse should be in last.
that reminds me i need an inline fuse for my 2nd battery.
and shit man if u knew a thing or 2 you know you need A DRILL not a scredriver. good luck mounting an amp on the back of the seat where its all metal.
yeah, and what's this "remote start wire" ? it's called a "remote turn-on lead" in the world i live in! what kinda amp needs to be started? you start a engine not a amp!!!
You guys mind being less critical about the video or what words he used? It helped me, and I didn't know a thing about it. And low and behold, it works in my car. So stop knocking the specifics, and just go with it.
u dont just use an amp to run a sub u can us an amp to run every thing LOs mids highs speekers subs all of it y do u thinku can buy like 4 chanle ampz
im trying to hook up an amp for my after market speaker in my car but i dont know if i have to disconnect the speakers from my deck.. can someone let me know????????
In response to beastboy911, I can tell you how to bridge an amp.
When you connect the speaker cable to the amp, connect the red side to the + terminal on one channel, then connect the black side to the - terminal on the opposite channel.
That will increase your power because your sub will be using both channels instead of just one.
Keep in mind that when you're bridged you can only use 1 sub on a 2-channel amp, and only 2 subs on a 4-channel amp.
It would help if you had a subwoofer

Pleasee.. help.. I don't know where to connect my Power Control Terminal from my amplifier, This guy call it "remote start cable"..
Where should I connect it to?
nandiito 2 years ago
connect it to a blue cable with a white stripe on it should be on your aftermarket stereo harness
meza32130 2 years ago
from amp you go to headunit and on headunit if you see some wires that are not used try a blue or red wier that turns on your amp on and off
it could also be blue and white wire
92mmm 2 years ago
yes, it was the remote cable, in my stereo (sony) it was a blue wire with a wite line. Thank you.
