Haven't seen it mentioned, but if this is from the Maiden Japan recording/show, then Adrian does the first solo (before the vocals). Sure sounds like him- rich with tone and perfect note choices. His Schenker influence really comes through on that solo. Brilliant work by Mr. Smith!

You can purchase this on cd. The person who posted this took off the offical cd-Maiden Japan. Please check Ebay periodically for a copy. I got mine a few years ago off of ebay. This version of Maiden Japan is the "entire' concert -17 songs plus Dave Murray's Solo.

@Magvvon This is my all time favorite Iron Maiden song. As a teen I had all Iron Maiden albums and many many singles, I grew tired of it all except the two first albums.

No one can question the quality and excellence of that band, technically, it is the best heavy metal band of all time in my book, but I had to say goodby because it all sounded too repetitive over the years and music for me is very much about exploring.

For me the early albums are milestones, they have a "timeless" quality

I'v never really liked Maiden, I like more Blues orientated music, but I can accept that music had to change sometime lol. I think they were better with paul, especial the first two albums, they had a reminiscant feel of Hard Rock to them, after that I'm just can't stand it. In any case I think that 'Strange World' and 'Ides of March' are there best song, because they are the most Hard Rock. Thats only my opinion though, anyone agree? I just like more raw passionate music, a man and his guitar
