Peter Madcat Ruth is the best. He will be in Doylestown, PA this spring. That is 120 miles away and tickets are $60. I think I will try to make the trip despite the cost.
Madcat is by far my favorite harmonica virtuoso and multi-instrumentalist. His video "The in's and out's of rhythm harmonica" is a constant source of inspiration to me. Thanks again for sharing. Have you had a chance to meet with Aldrine Guerrero in Hawaii? Aldrine is amazing and he is also Jake Shimabukuro's protege.
I remember "500 Miles" from the soft ballad sung by Peter, Paul and Mary--Madcat's version is inspired! I'm in that boxcar, watching the telephone poles and farms streak past. Thanks!
Watching this clip again...I just can't believe how easy and fluidly,Madcat can create two different time signatures...I've been playing guitar for well over fifteen years now,and still,I'm not even close to being able to accomplish this...Not only does he do this remarkable feat so easily...He also sings over the top of it all aswell.I guess it's things like this, that make Madcat a professional, and me an amateur...I guess you could call it...
You are mysteriously drawn to the Pacific Northwest...you are powerless against this compulsion...The Emerald City...Puddletown...the Glories of Spring....we all await
