I think one of the point that make a good band (at least for me) is that they can play their music live and sound as good or better than on their cd's.

If you've seen them live, you'd know they don't stand there and try to play perfectly - They rarely stand still, and I'll bet there are few people with their (relatively) limited experience (We can't compare them to Angus...) who can move that much, jump off trapolines and play as good as their albums. It's about the energy, but yes, I was a touch disappointed the first time I saw them, but am mega excited about seeing them again with Turisas in October.

I'm seeing Turisas and the Force in Belfast October 11 (Second time seeing the Force, wasn't great the first time but that was because the sound guys set the bass way too loud - Drowned out the vocals and guitars -.-) but Alestorm would compliment them all beautifully!

Yes, Turisas were the main band, but Norther was supporting them along with Alestorm. I saw them yesterday in Cardiff and they were awesome!
