Everything about EA's game, they stole from 2k except for the right stick stick handle. Sliders, pinning, options...it's all 2k's innovation. It was just another opportunity for EA to throw their weight around and steal ideas because of their failing franchise. Now you all are sucked in to glossy models and characters that slide off of each other because they have no collision detection...not to mention the skating is atrocious.
well, how? For 2k9 like 95% of your chances come from the rush......in 09 you get to make plays like an actuall game. If 2k fixed that then i would agree with you
if u were i hockey fan ud realize some key things between the games-2k9 might not have great graphics but is more authentic, real arenas, real goal horns, real player celebrations, and its a lil smoother on shots(not as robotic)

You're totally right. They are 2 different style games. EA is for real hockey fans who like to simulate the game of hockey as best as they can through a videogame, and 2k is for gay little kids who want to score through their legs and celebrate like Ovechkin every game.
Ha please dude, EA was doing that crap way before 2k. If anyone plays 2k on the default sliders without really tuning them then they have not even begun to touch the games surface. All you do is EA is pass it 3 or four times, shoot, and you have a goal. In 2k9 you can create your game, not just play it. EA, they spoon feed you everything like "gay little kids." I suspet the EA players don't have the creativity to adjust their game to make it hard, a grind, or gritty.
In 2k, I can take my 125 lb character with skin-tight jerseys and gigantic sticks and skate (not exactly, 2k's skating looks more like running on ice) and make a cross-crease onetimer past the 150 lb goalie with goalie pads 2x his size.
It's cool that 2k invented all of the gameplay, even though it looked like N64 animations. EA took 2k's alleged gameplay and made it look real. It's ok though. Keep playing 2k. I'm sure you like seeing DJ Qualls score on Kate Moss with bedpillows on her legs.
I think the problem with EA is that the majority of people defending the game refuse to share intelligent thoughts about it. No wonder 2k fanboys believe that EA's games are for simple minded players/people.
I always like to play with this camera angle , it really looks like your watching the game at home . I use this angle also when I play NBA 2k . I hope you make some more side video's soon . Good job !

This camera is what NHL 09 needs, the pivot looks so much better than the pan. Why does EA even call it "Broadcast" cam? its not!
