Those people who think the war on terror is only about focusing on Al Qaeda are new comers to the issue. They need to read about the long line of terrorist organizations that have come from the middle east for a very long time. All of them are based around a cult of personality. At the time of 9/11, Osama Bin Laden was not the top name on the lips of the sympathizers in the middle east. And we should realize that a vast majority of Arabs sympathize with them. It's cultural.

The reason why Bush defined the "War on Terror" broadly is because our enemy is broad. Focusing exclusively on Al Qaeda is a foolish denial of radical Islams world wide Jihad.
